I typically never leave reviews for restaurants or bars. I am slightly embarrassed to admit, leaving this review for Thunderbird is extremely warranted and a first for me. And as they always say, you never forget your first.

Below are 3 reasons why Thunderbird rocks my world.

  1. No Frills, All Thrills - Thunderbird I must say is one of the best neighborhood bar and restaurant in Brentwood. Their cocktails are refreshing. The TexMex inspired cuisine is always a meal to look forward to any day of the week. I would highly recommend the chicken wings, tacos, and the angus beef picadillo.

  2. An "Any Occasion" type of bar - Feel like watching a game, meeting up with some friends for HH, or party like you're still a frat star from UCLA? Thunderbird has got you. This may be one of the most versatile bars in the LA area. They got seating with great views of TVs everywhere. Weekdays and weekends during the day are great for a more relaxed atmosphere. Fridays and Saturday nights are a ton of fun if you're looking for a more energetic experience. Similar to all clubs in LA, be sure to get there early! There is a vibe for everyone.

  3. The Service - The staff at this bar is amazing. If there was an Avengers equivalent of a bartending team in Santa Monica/Brentwood, the squad here is it. I've even pressured them to take at least a few shots with me from time to time (hopefully I don't get anyone in trouble). Point is, they do it for the sake of customer service.

I live in DTLA and drive 20-30 minutes west at least 2 times a week to come here. This place...

Great neighborhood bar. Chill during the day. Fun at night. Happy hour can sometimes get crowded, especially if there is an important game one. Gets louder as it goes into the night especially weekends, which is understandable. Love their theme nights throughout the month that sometimes has live bands. 🤠 Country night is my favorite. Also love the chill bingo and trivia nights too when I just want to be out and social but not rage.

They show all the sports on the TVs if you're into that. Always play the Dodgers which is all I personally care about. Love to bring the dogs on the patio and still be able to see the TVs inside no problem.

Food is solid. Chips and fries are always good for munchies. Solid classic burger that hits the spot when I'm craving. The bartenders, especially Ricky, are great about also g if I'm okay with a certain spice level as some things are spicier than others, which I very much appreciate. Beers are reasonable price. Cocktails are a little pricey but always delicious so I never feel like it's not worth it.

All staff is always great, keep the place safe and comfortable for everyone every time I've been there. They usually recognize you if you come back a few times. Totally my "Cheers" place....

I recently visited Thunderbird Bar on my first night in the Los Angeles area and had a fantastic experience. Not only was the food and drink selection great, but the prices were reasonable as well.

The menu had a variety of options to choose from and everything my group ordered was delicious. The nachos, in particular, were a standout item and could easily feed four people.

They also had a good selection of beers and cocktails. Plus, the fact that they have trivia nights on Wednesdays added a fun element to our visit.

The atmosphere was perfect for a sports bar, with plenty of TVs to watch your local games. Although you have to order your food and drinks at the bar, the staff was quick and efficient in bringing it to our table. The bartenders were super cool and friendly, making our visit even more enjoyable. They were knowledgeable about the drink selection and provided great recommendations.

Overall, I would highly recommend this bar for anyone looking for good food and drinks at affordable prices. With trivia nights on Wednesdays and a great atmosphere for watching sports, this place is a must-visit. Plus, the friendly and knowledgeable bartenders made the experience...

Let me start off by assuring all my fans that this is a 5 star establishment. The Thunderburger is on par with the likes of burgers from Father's Office and Plan Check (it's that good!), but unfortunately their Spicy Chicken Sandwich is on par with McDonalds. As you can tell by the photos, they use low quality dark meat that is so stringy I would have better luck chewing a bungee cord. This is particularly surprising given that their Spicy Chicken Tenders are made with beautiful white meat and are some of the best in Los Angeles! Update: they substantially worsened their chicken tenders. Now very dry and tough. If I was looking for this type of chicken I would just cook it myself. Hopefully they can fix their menu.

A dive sports bar. Drinks are good a Moscow Mule and an Old Fashioned. Saturday at 3 pm, only the guy behind the bar for service. He did a decent job taking orders, making the drinks, and delivering the food. Now the food was good! I couldn't decide between the short Rib taco and the carnitas taco so he said " ok how about one of each." GREAT suggestion! Both were juicy and full of flavor. The short Rib had a kick of spice and the carnitas with the pickled onions elevated the street taco. Burger was "just a burger " per my wife. The fries solid and generous. (See the photo)

Honestly this chicken sandwich was one for the books. Best one I’ve had in awhile. Very crispy and flavorful. The bread they used had a sweetness to it that is hard to explain but worth going and trying for yourself. The crispy chickpeas Where really good too. Salty but good. Be ready to wash it down with something cold. The broccoli tacos had great savory flavor too! Worth it!
