After a hiatus from Botox during the pandemic, I did a quick Google search and found Rejuva Medical Spa. Located in a medical practice high-rise on Wilshire Blvd the office has impressive views of the Santa Monica mountains. The nurse who first assisted me was really sweet and we chatted and laughed while she took my photos, she mentioned that she had just had her nose done by Dr. Karimi a few weeks ago and I was surprised because she did not look like she had recently gone under any major procedure like this, no swelling or bruising and her nose was cute. After getting settled into a treatment room, I enjoyed the view and met the next nurse who would administer my Botox. She was also very lovely and kind, we talked about her upcoming trip and she did my Botox which turned out great. I told her how the other nurse had mentioned that she recently had her nose done and this nurse said she had also had a revision rhinoplasty by Dr. Karimi! I had been considering rhinoplasty for a long time and had consultations with several surgeons. I booked a consultation with Dr. Karimi and his consultation fee was lower than some other surgeons I have met with. I immediately trusted Dr. Karimi, you can tell that he is an expert in his field and enjoys what he is doing. After my appointment, I received my estimate via email, it was in line with other estimates I had received from other surgeons. A few months later I booked my pre-op and surgery appointment. My husband came with me this time and we met with Dr. Karimi again and also met with RN Michelle who explained the pre-op and post-op process to me and gave me a big branded bag with several medications, gauze, etc., including a few CBD oils and healing cream developed by Dr. Karimi himself that were awesome and thorough instructions about before and after to have at home in case I forgot anything. Michelle said to feel free to text her with any questions before or after which was helpful. When I went early the morning of surgery day to the surgery center in Santa Monica I was greeted by amazing nurses who put me at ease, I met with Dr. Karimi again and he made some marks on my nose, took some pictures, and then it was off to surgery! I was surprised how great I felt when I woke up after surgery, my husband came to pick me up and I was able to work from home for the rest of the day. Michelle sent me texts that night checking in and also a video that Dr. Karimi made after my surgery to show my new nose. For the next few days after I took it easy, it was the weekend so it was perfect timing and I followed the instructions which were sent home with me. I did not feel pain, just swelling so I tried to ice as much as possible. Since I work from home I was able to keep working without taking a day off, co-workers who I spoke with on the phone just thought I had a cold since I sounded a little stuffed up. When I went outside I just wore a face mask over my nose/cast. After one week I went back to Dr. Karimi's office to get my cast off, my nose was still a little swollen but there was no bruising at all. I am really happy and so glad that I had this done. I feel silly waiting for so long, but I am glad that I actually did because Dr. Karimi is the best. I will continue coming to his office for Botox, and Juvederm and I am going to try micro-needling in the fall. I also have future facial surgery goals that I will come back to Dr. Karimi for and I gifted one of my friends a consultation with him because she is planning to do a lower/mini facelift. I know she will be wowed like I was! A few weeks after my procedure at a doctor's appointment I told the nurse that I had just had a rhinoplasty, she was surprised because there was no swelling or bruising and she said I never would have known your nose looks great! At the end of my doctor's visit before I left she came to ask me for Dr. Karimi's info as her friend has been looking for a surgeon and said she would go with her friend and get Botox at the same time. I am really happy to recommend Dr....
Read moreDr. Karimi = Amazing! While out visiting in California, I was able to get into Dr. Karimi's office for a consult. The office staff is wonderful! And once you meet Dr. Karimi -- it's as if he's an old friend. -- After the initial consult & a CT-Scan of my nose, I found out I had 100% blockage of my left nostril. -- With vacation over and back in Kansas I checked in with my local Ear, Nose and Throat expert Dr. However nice he was, I just didn't get the same sense of experience & he wasn't as personable as Dr. Karimi was. In addition, the Kansas Dr. said I would be 'down' a hard 5 days, and recovery would take at least 10 days total, & I would need nose stints, which would have to be physically removed. He also initially wasn't going to do anything about a small cyst I had in my sinus cavity, because it wasn't really 'hurting anything', as he said. I scheduled surgery & ended up canceling, because it just didn't 'feel right'. I only have this one body, and even though Dr. Karimi was out of my insurance network (since I was from Kansas and he's in California), and I was going to have to pay a LOT of money out of pocket, not to mention travel to California... I needed to go that route. So I worked with Dr. Karimi's office staff (which again are WONDERFUL), and worked out a payment plan, since my Government approved Insurance Plan didn't cover me in California.... I scheduled the surgery, and planned my trip for 15 days. After my arrival, Dr. Karimi had an emergency come up, where a patient needed him immediately! Staff was quick to update me, and remind me that they knew I had flown in specifically for the surgery, and my surgery ended up happening early. Dr. Karimi treats all of his patients like old friends -- I can't stress that enough. I expressed some concerns about stints, and other things the Kansas Dr. had put in my head, and Dr. Karimi answered my questions, and put me at ease. I had the surgery, and everything went smoothly. I didn't need 'stints' like the Kansas Dr. said I would need, and Dr. Karimi took care of the cyst -- which he'd planned to do all along. My GF had gone to the Pharmacy across the street to get Meds, and by the time my GF got back from getting my Meds, I was in recovery. Dr. Karimi checked on me, and then gave me a little present -- an (at least) 2" bone spur that he removed from my left nostril area. My Lovely GF then carefully took me back to the Hotel, and attempted to care for me. The only problem was, I really wasn't in any pain. I followed the instructions to carefully flush my nose, and change my bandages. My GF 'made' me take a pain pill before going to sleep that night, so that the pain wouldn't creep up on me, and then it'd be to late to take pain medication. The next morning, I didn't really feel any pain, and elected not to take any more pain medication. Here's where it get's crazy. The DAY AFTER my surgery, in the afternoon, My GF and I went out shopping ! Granted I had a bandage on my nose, so I may have looked a little funny.... but we went shopping ! Now remember, earlier, my Kansas Dr. said I was going to be 'down hard' for at LEAST the first 5 days, and it'd take 10 days to recover.... Not with Dr. Karimi's hands doing the work on me! Talk about CRAZY AMAZING ! I still am in awe, and reassured myself that I made the right decision, in paying (quite a bit of money) out of pocket to make sure I had the correct Dr. work on me. During one of my follow-up visits, I asked Dr. Karimi about the stints, and how I was able to go shopping the next day, and he said it's all about how you treat the soft tissue, and patient care..... Well, let me tell you, my 'long time' new friend Dr. Karimi..... is AMAZING! and if you can't tell, I HIGHLY recommend him (and his wonderful staff)! ...
Read moreI had a very complicated revision rhinoplasty done by Dr. Kian and I am so thankful that I trusted my health and face with him, especially after having undergone a horrible initial rhinoplasty years ago that resulted in health and cosmetic issues that severely impacted multiple aspects of my life. I can say this was one of the best decisions I have ever made. I have spoken with many well-known plastic surgeons across LA and SF over the past few years as I was on the search for a revision specialist, but no doctor came close to showcasing the level of knowledge and dedication to their work through such a kind and honest manner as Dr. Kian.
It took me years to gather the courage to go through the rhinoplasty process again as I was fearful of the process and results given my past experience. From my first interaction with Dr. Kian, I felt completely at ease and confident that he was the best doctor for my revision rhinoplasty although I would have to travel from afar. From our initial conversation, I trusted that he was keen on retaining my individuality with a natural outcome, while fixing the mistakes the previous doctor had made and the areas I was not happy with. He has always explained every detail related to my surgery process in a realistic and clear manner. His friendly demeanor, extensive knowledge and honesty around what was possible in my unique situation made me decide he was the only doctor I should proceed with.
I am now a few months post surgery and could not be happier, he improved my appearance and self esteem, along with my breathing related issues. I still feel like myself as the changes are subtle and natural, but still life-changing. Most people around me didn't even notice I had a procedure done, but I did receive many compliments as my overall appearance has become more symmetrical, given my features fit better with one another. I will return to Dr. Kian for any aesthetic medical needs as I trust his work and artistic capability completely and I would recommend Dr. Kian to everyone out there who is considering a rhinoplasty or revision rhinoplasty as he truly is the best.
Thank you Dr. Kian, I will forever be grateful for your work and am so thankful I found my way to your office. I used to be very anxious every time I looked in a mirror or thought about a potential revision rhinoplasty, and it's such a relieving feeling to not have anxiety around my face anymore. If you want to make an investment in yourself and end up with the most natural and beautiful results you should go to...
