Dissapointed in Tonino's Place and how they treat some of their customers. Im waiting patinetly at the entrance for my online prepaid order, in arms reach of the pizza chef (its a small place). A couple of the staff here have always been a little rude with me but I didn't think much of it. Tonight though, I'm waiting for my order at the entrance, they quickly throw some things in a bag, the chef takes that bag, walks AWAY from me to the counter and tells me to come and get it. Instead of just simply handing me that bag when he was in arms reach, he went out of his way to make me walk through their narrow hallway squeezing through people with my large bag of food.
I turn to leave, he then yells at me from 2 feet away "Thats your small pizza on the counter! Its your responsibility to remember your order!" When he told me the giant brown bag was mine I assumed the small pizza was already at the bottom but he purposefully waited until I had to turn back, walk through the people in their narrow hallway again when he could have so easily just handed me the food when he was standing right by me. The whole thing was just weird and unprofessional. I love going to restaurants where you can feel the love that goes into the food by the owners and the people they hire but unforuntely to say, I have never once felt welcomed by Tonino's. Read more45 min. Right before we got in the manager was telling everybody he was going to closed so he wasn't taking more order. But he agreed to take my order if I eat outside or take to go, yes he was telling me what to do, so the masted up my kids pizza I asked for pepperoni was not put it on, so we are eating outside and he came out to rush us to leave because he was closing what type of Coustumer did this guy have.? You know what mr. Tonino I Bet you are loosing thousands of $$$$ because this gentleman is closing you restaurant early and above all his way of treating people. 2 start only because pizza was good. I went to your restaurant today because last year when I came to Calabasas I was very impressed with your pizza and I spoke with a very nice lady (perhaps your wife) and I was very pleasant. But today received the worst kick I had ever received in a restaurant. So hopefully you read this and take care on your business. Read moreWe brought our food home after a long day at work. Our food was undercooked and had no flavor. We forced ourselves to eat one piece of pizza because we were so hungry. Then called for a refund. It was awful and too expensive to let the charge stand . After speaking to the manager. He said we looked at the order so it was okay. NO NO. We hadn't tasted it or picked a slice of the pizza up to know it was doughy and not edible. In order to refund us, they wanted the whole order brought back right now. We said no way. We just got home from work, not driving back again today. Told them come get it or you'll get it tomorrow when it's convenient to return it. We work too! I know the owner, she's very nice.
