Good Mexican food at an affordable price in the valley... IT EXISTS
Atmosphere: Big restaurant with plenty of tables, standard mexican decor. Nothing special but nothing overly offensive either. Restaurant was busy and everyone seemed to be having a great time.
Food:
Chips & Salsa - served when you are seated. First batch of chips wasn't the best and the salsa is pretty flavorless they serve with.. Honestly more of a pico then salsa. The second batch we got was HOT and we asked for one of their other salsas, that's the way to go here.
2 tacos Combo - Hard shell or soft tacos with choice of chicken or beef. Includes lettuce, tomato, mixed cheese and taco sauce. We both got one shredded chicken and one shredded beef with rice and beans. I have to say these are some of the most flavorful tacos I have had in a long time.
The chicken was my favorite with a light crisp to the shell and the meat itself on the edges and amazing crisp as well.
The shredded beef was bursting with flavor, honestly this rivals Sol Y Luna and its $5 cheaper without the crazy wait.
Rice & Beans - pretty standard here doesn't hurt or really help the meal it's just kinda necessary.
Huge menu plenty of drinks and food to order.
Sauce Tip: They actually have multiple salsas just ask. I liked the spicy which wasn't that spicy and the verde was also really good. There was a unique one i wasn't sure about but i think it was avocado salsa that had a kind of wasabi texture now that was a big spicy.
Price: Around $11-15 and portion size is huge.
Parking: plenty of parking in the lot outside.
Service: The absolute nicest waitress. Came over multiple times and was just a joy to speak with
Im extremely happy we took a chance on this place and the family and I will...
Read moreI decided to try a restaurant to which I've never dined in search of the AUTHENTICALLY TASTY Chile relleno. I chose the three item meal to experience a few of the offerings. I choose the Chile relleno, beef taco and cheese enchilada. The relleno LOOKED exactly as I had hoped! Unfortunately, it lacked luster. The egg had no flavor, although it was cooked to perfection. The chili also had no flavor although it did contain an abundance of cheese, although not entirely melted. The relleno sauce was good but not what I'm accustomed to; perhaps I'm just too picky, having been raised on my Mom's authentic Mexican cooking 🤣
The taco was good, kinda hard to mess that up!
The enchilada was just... Ok. The sauce was delicious but the meat was rather bland.
The service was fantastic and the meal was prepared quickly...
Read moreOur family have been patrons at this restaurant since the second week it opened. Its a family run and family friendly establishment. The food is great an the prices are reasonable. Viva La Fiesta was one of the few places that were open during the 2020 Covid-19 pandemic and even thru uncertain times, they were welcoming and professional. Its a clean 👌 restaurant and follow all Covid-19 government guidelines.
My favorite dishes are: CAMARONES AL MOJO DE AJO MOJARA PLATE COMBINATION 5 AUGUA DE CHILLES TODAS DE CEVICHE LENGUA BURRITO SECO
The bar is always well stocked with cold beer or your favorite mix drink. Mine is the AMF, Piña colada and Tequila Sunrise.
