Just moved to the neighborhood and decided to drop by here and see how it was. My usual test for a coffee shop is how they do their regular drop brew. If it's good, I know everything else about it will be good. Why? Because if you don't pay attention to the simplest of details, then you won't pay attention to the complicated stuff. And, their basic brew is tasty, and, at a really good price. Someday when the mood strikes me I'll grab a mocha, latte, or one of their signature drinks. They even do fresh-baked pastries, which are hard to resist when you smell them coming right out of the oven early in the morning.

As for the space itself, it's cozy and friendly. The staff is fun to chat with and there's enough room to sit and work. The wi-fi is good, and during the day parking is pretty easy to find either in front (pay) or in the surrounding neighborhoods. From what I understand, they even do nightly dinners for a good price.

If you happen to be in, live in, or go to this part of LA, I'd recommend stopping...

I never leave any reviews anywhere but this place is horrible. The cook and cashier give a bad attitude towards the community people they're in, I've seen it happening twice and the service is a lot different when it comes to a person who doesn't seem to have a lot of money. They probably just pick this location because of the busy area, not the people. I suggest just going next door where there is a bakery that has been there for years and it's run by nice locals and not gentrifiers. Edit: it’s funny how they always get upset instead of even try to look at the problem, it always sounds like a 10 year old is in charge of reviewing this. You probably know your workers come out as racist but don’t care since that you’re probably worse. And I’ve seen your customers, nothing but white hipsters paying for overpriced coffee...

I like the concept of this coffee shop. Like the hip happy vibe they give off. The disgusting hate from the community makes me want to come here more often. As should you. I live in Gardena but heard about it through a mutual friend of someone who lives around here.hate is the enemy it's completly gross how people can be so racist. There trying to better there lives and bring those happy vibes. People need to accept change. I hope more people start going . Let's fight racism and support this coffee shop! I hope to come here more often. I feel so bad for the people that work here to have to deal with these haters but they'll get jobs eventually or do something with there life and leave eventually unless they wind up in jail. Keep up the good vibes & work. I am not racist,I fully support weird...

This was the second time supporting this new Boyle Heights business and we had a blast. Saw many business people from the community there i.e. LAPD reps, Boyle Heights Chamber board member and a few neighboring business owners. Made some great contacts. Had their roast beef sandwich which was to die for. Also had some organic green tea which was wonderful. I will be arranging the grand opening with ribbon cutting ceremony in the next few weeks. Will keep everyone posted on Facebook so the entire community can come out and join in the fun with us and experience this new gem of a business in Boyle Heights. Sometimes change is good.

Love this place! I’ve gone here twice and the first time I ordered a chai latte and a breakfast sandwich. The latte had a wonderful flavor and the sandwich has this jelly that was simply out of this world. My second visit I ordered a matcha latte that probably had a little more milk than it should’ve. the avocado toast had a generous amount of avocado and the turmeric and sea salt was a great touch. The brownies here are the best! Definitely grabbing one anytime their available. Service is always friendly and willing to answer any questions:) Taking away one star for the milky matcha but will def be back !

I grew up in boyle heights and although this place looks "white" i liked it. I got great customer service and so did my 2yr old. It might not fit in to our community because of the people working there or because of the menu but i enjoyed it. Its just that people around here arent use to seeing a nice, clean, organized places. Not everything needs to be tagged or broken around herešŸ˜’ I recommend their hot chocolate, waffle, and banana bread. Cant wait to go back and try more things.
