Located on Alvarado and Sunset. This spot is so good! Dont judge a book by its cover. #teppanyaki #japanesefood #losangelesfood #foryou

Discrimination Against the Disabled + Maliciously Harassing Customers! Stay Away from This Unethical Restaurant! Today, I experienced an infuriating incident of discrimination firsthand! I hold a valid disabled parking permit and, due to my physical condition, parked in the accessible spot (without leaving the vehicle, only briefly stopping). The restaurant owner rushed out to yell at and chase me away, even insulting me with words like "Get out!" What makes it even more ironic is that I originally intended to visit this restaurant with my dog (who was drinking water in the car at the time). Yet, before even stepping inside, I witnessed the owner’s despicable behavior: 1️⃣ disregard for disability rights: Accessible parking spots are public facilities, and those with permits are entitled to use them legally. Businesses have no right to monopolize them. 2️⃣ Disrespectful and discriminatory attitude toward people with disabilities: Instead of showing basic decency toward those with mobility challenges, the owner vented their anger and verbally attacked me. 3️⃣ Complete lack of business ethics: Even if there were questions about the parking, they should have communicated politely rather than outright insulting a potential customer. I urge everyone to boycott this unlawful and immoral business! The rights of people with disabilities must not be violated. Today, it was me facing discrimination—tomorrow, it could be another vulnerable group. A restaurant with zero empathy does not deserve customers’ support!

My first time eating here, second time for my friend, we were greated and helped immediately!! Owner is so amazing and funny! She made jokes and recognized my friend right away. We spoke for a bit while getting out plates of food. After waiting for our stir fry to cook, She made sure to ask how spicy we wanted it and if we were okay with add ons (like sesame seeds). She gave my friend a small gift of thanks for returning to the restaurant, as he told me the first time he came he fell in love with the food and wished they received more of a crowd. He was right. The food was absolutely simple and delicious! I can't wait to return again. Very affordable, unlike most places these days.

We visited the small Japanese restaurant Yami Yaki with our family and were absolutely amazed! This place is truly unique. The food is prepared by a wonderful woman, occasionally assisted by a man, and you can feel the love they put into every dish.

One of the most interesting aspects of this place is that you get to choose your own ingredients, and they cook them for you. I had never seen anything like this before, but it turned out to be a really fun and engaging experience. We tried as many dishes as possible, and every single one was absolutely delicious!

Although the restaurant doesn’t have much of an interior, the food more than makes up for it. Everything is fresh and incredibly flavorful. The service is exceptional—the woman who runs the place is kind, attentive, and genuinely cares about her guests. What impressed me the most was seeing children helping out, serving food with the sweetest smiles and such care, which is rare to find in the U.S.

We were beyond satisfied with the food, the atmosphere, the service, and the prices. This is one of those hidden gems you’ll want to return to again and again....
