A low key, sushi dominant spot that keeps the focus exactly where it should be. Its clean, simple interior won’t distract you from what you’re really here for—the sushi. I grabbed a seat at the sushi bar to get up close with the fish… and the chefs.
The creamy rock shrimp tempura arrived crispy and golden—a solid, satisfying start, though not a standout by any stretch. But I wasn’t here for tempura; I was here for the sushi. The crispy rice spicy tuna topped with fresh avocado on top followed: a reliable favorite. The tuna was fresh, the avocado smooth, and the spicy sauce added a slight kick.
Now onto the sushi. I couldn’t resist ordering the seared salmon with truffle oil twice. The subtle smokiness meets the aroma of truffle in a bite. The albacore was another standout, so good I had to double up on that as well. The other sushi offerings were equally impressive. The halibut, kanpachi, yellowtail, toro—all impeccably fresh, with just the right amount of rice, sauce, and topping to let each fish shine. Every bite was balanced, clean, and delicate, as sushi should be.
The yuzu soda was bright, zesty and refreshing between bites, while the kuroushi black bull sake was smooth with a slight richness, a great pairing for the fish.
The service was fine—efficient and no-frills, just like the ambiance. If you’re after high-end decor or extravagant presentations, this isn’t your spot. But if you want quality sushi, prepared well and paired with thoughtful drinks, Yume has...
Read moreA perfect place to celebrate a good friend's birthday and being able to go out again since the pandemic. We reserved our outside table but they also have inside seating. They have the code for a touchless menu and you must wear a mask until you are eating. We slow rolled our orders so we could savor each bote as well as enjoy in person interaction. Virtual calls can only do so much. Started out with some hot sake Suijin I believe and shishito peppers. The bonito flakes on top give it extra flavor. We then went truffle crazy on our sashimi salmon and halibut. Enough portions for the 4 of us to enjoy the quality and freshness while leaving us hungry and curious for the miso cod. Oh my! It's cooked and before I could even comprehend what was happening to my taste buds I had ordered another. Next was toro sushi that needed nothing in a addition to the rice, toro, and light green sauce that comes with it. The dream roll was so light with a citrus introduction and a spicy finish. A dab of wasabi did the trick on the second bite. The baked crab earned a second order. The company made the evening but the food definitely set the scene. Had a great night out and I would highly recommend eating here. It is pricey for our taste but a special occasion made it worth...
Read moreMy girlfriend and I visited for the first time and we absolutely loved Yume.
Our server was fantastic, offering great recommendations and chatting with us about the fish and sake selections.
We ordered the nigori to start and it was a bit different than what usual nigori is but this was so delicious and better than what most places have! That was the Tomoshichi sake.
To start we ordered some Unagi asking it to be "more cooked" so it was nice and crispy but they use thick cuts so it was still soft and buttery.
The Japanese Uni sushi was one of the freshest and tastiest uni I've ever had.
The Ankimo Sashimi was ridiculous, bathing in their marinade and thick slices wow.
The Yume Roll (Spicy tuna with tuna sashimi, avocado, cucumber, mushrooms, arugula, soy paper, & garlic powder) was amazingly delicious. Not too spicy tuna, fresh avocado and cucumber, the mushrooms were such a unique and interesting touch, and the garlic was the cherry on top.
Halibut Roll (Cucumber, asparagus, gobo, shiso leaf, halibut, yuzu, sea salt, & nori (seaweed paper) was so so so good. The gobo sauce with the shiso leaf and yuzu created such a harmonious symphny in my mouth. The halbit was fresh and soft.
The toro was absolutely butter.
An under appreciated sushi...
