Was extremely excited to see a "French" bakery pop up in our town. Had high expectations but, left very underwhelmed. When you walk in, the display of croissants is quite impressive. So impressive you want to try it all! Given the price tag of each one, we limited ourselves to 2 croissants & 2 Americano coffee's = $25 NOT including tip!!! They use a cute wooden serving tray lined w/parchment paper to set your croissants on until you get to the cash register & then they transfer them into a plastic bag or paper bag to go. Asked if we can have the croissants remain on the tray to eat as we were eating there & was told that the trays don't leave the bakery (no sitting indoors). Espresso drinks are made out of an auto-prepared espresso machines that you find in car dealerships & served into paper cups. Basically everything is "to-go". Seems quite wasteful to create so much waste. Being located in Los Gatos along with the extremely high priced goods, expectation would be at the very least to be able to eat your food on a tray & drink out of a nice mug. I've eaten tastier croissants at a reasonable cost & enjoyed my espressos w/better presentation at other local establishments. I don't believe this is worth the expense. I sure hope this establishment will consider to improve their hospitality & quality to validate their...
Read moreLast Friday, I visited the Croissante bakery in Los Gatos. I usually go to their main store in Santa Clara, and I was really happy to find out they have a location here as well. Since it was early morning, there were only about 2-3 other customers besides me. Their bread were absolutely delicious, just as I expected from the main store. However, the service was quite disappointing. There were two staff working, and one of them was very unprofessional and rude. She didn’t smile once and spoke in a cold tone that felt completely inappropriate for customer service. When I asked for a receipt, she didn’t even make eye contact or respond verbally; she just placed the receipt on the counter and walked away. Starting the day with such unfriendly service left me feeling quite upset. Even though this isn’t the main store, I think the staff here really need to undergo better service training. The delicious pastries deserve a friendlier atmosphere, and I hope they...
Read moreSmall place with outside seating. Very limited selection of pastries compared to the Santa Clara coffee shop. Everything is packed to go, and coffee is served on paper cups. It was kind of an inconvenience to look for a place to sit outside since it was cold and windy. Fortunately, there was a table available with two chairs and my friend and I started enjoying our pastries. A few minutes later it started to rain and we had to pack everything and leave. It was not a pleasant experience at all. Another thing to note is that they do not have a bathroom for customers. One of the ladies working there kindly directed us to go across the street and use the bathroom at the ice...
