Unorganized and inhospitable. Wow, I came here today to meet with my husband for a happy hour in downtown.

When I showed up a waitress with red hair told me to find a table myself, she did not have a smile on and was annoyed looking.

I found a table and I waited to be served at one table for ten minutes and then I moved to a closer to the entrance table thinking maybe I am too far away to be seen. Nope the waitress ignored me the whole time, the table was wobbly and so was my chair. At that point I stood up and walked away because I love myself and I love hospitable and organized places where I am a customer and I pay with my time and credit card to be served equally.

I do not know what is the waitress' problem is but it is not on me and I hope the management talks to her to be more friendly and not ignore people who come in and smile for a change.

How I ended up at Rootstock with a non-drinker and a vegan is beyond me. But they chose the place so I couldn't be blamed. Anyway, I enjoyed a big glass of delicious chardonnay with my prosciutto and cheese flat bread while they drank water and ate vegetarian flat breads without cheese (like, why bother, really?). Anyway, the waitstaff was totally accommodating and the service was great, although poor things couldn't avoid overhearing our racy girl talk as the place was empty except for us. Rootstock Wine Bar is a gem where you can truly unwind and savor the experience. Their wine selection is incredible, with something for everyone, and the ambiance is so inviting that you could easily sit here for hours enjoying your glass.

The food is just as amazing! I highly recommend the stuffed mushrooms, bruschetta trio, and empanada trio. Each dish is crafted to perfection and pairs beautifully with their wines.
