Delicious! We had a very nice dinner last night at The Pasteria in Los Gatos. After the Los Gatos High Football game we tried to get a reservation online, but they we sold out till 9:30. We stopped in anyway and got their last table. Everything on the menu looked great. We read reviews how good the Brie appetizer was, but decided to go with the roasted garlic and fresh bread to save on the calories. It was a great call. The serving of garlic was generous and the bread was soft and warm. Our waiter Westin brought us a little olive oil and balsamic which made a nice combination. Our second course was the house salad. Simple with just romaine lettuce, kidney beans tossed in a light vinaigrette and topped with shaved Parmesan. Very good. Westin then brought out a plate of oven roasted Brussel sprouts. They were tasty tossed in a balsamic reduction and topped with Parmesan, but with thought the dish needed a little more flavor. We added a little more reduction which helped. For our main courses my wife ordered the Tagliatelle & Truffle Cream sauce with Chicken. She said it was incredible. The pasta, made in house was perfect and the truffle was not overpowering. I planned on getting the seafood pasta, but when I saw a plate of the angel hair pasta with meatballs go by, I changed my mind. It was a good choice. The fresh pasta was cooked to perfection. The red sauce has nice flavor with enough zest. The meatballs were awesome. Lots of flavor with just enough spice. We had a couple of glasses of Kathleen Kennedy Small Lot Cabernet with dinner. Very good. It was nice they had some decent wines by the glass. We did not come close to finishing any of our dishes. There was definitely no room for dessert. The service was excellent. Our server Westin was very friendly, knowledgeable and was always there when we needed him. Another restaurant we will return to. On a side note, they added some outdoor seating fireplaces that looked nice. I am sure they fill up fast so a reservation is most likely needed.

Been trying to avoid this place bc we have our favorite Italian places, AND after reviewing Yelp photos, we were a little skeptical of their rich and creamy pastas. Decided to dine here on a random Tuesday and sure glad we did. Even for a Tuesday night, it was pretty busy. We had reservations and were seated pretty quickly. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a tall young lady whose name I did not get. She had a warm smile and quickly took us to our table, where Sidney greeted us and took our drink orders (no hard alcohol that I could see, just wine, beer and bubbles). I opted for a glass of prosecco, which was $12 and filled to the brim; the hubby had a beer from a brewery he liked. We ordered a pizza (prosciutto w/balsamic glaze) and pasta (tagliatelle bolognese) to share; this was more than enough. Don’t think there was complimentary bread, but it was not needed. The portions here are big and I’m pretty sure the pastas are handmade. For dessert we shared a sundae, simple yes, but super tasty. The brownie and ice cream were made of good quality. Food was really good, and service was even better; thanks Sidney for having a great smile and being so attentive. Pretty good vibes too. Great for a date night, family night or even business eats. Will be back for sure!

One of the best restaurants I have EVER been to. I try my hardest to come here when I am in town. I have eaten here a few times per year and every single time it has been amazing. The staff is absolutely amazing.

The owner Donna is usually there and I was a little shocked how the last few times she said hi to my family and knew who we were. So it does get busy and it’s a small place. I HIGHLY recommend making a reservation.

Weston is hands down the best waiter I have ever had. If at all possible ask for him. Both cooks make incredible food.

I always get the pasta primavera, but anything on the menu will blow your mind! Please eat here if you are ANYWHERE near here. I know live in another state and have dreams about the food here and whenever I am in town I try to eat here. This month, December of 2023 I ate here twice while visiting family for the holidays and both times were perfect. They make their pasta from scratch daily, they respect and work with people who have food allergies or sensitives. Two of my family don’t eat gluten and their gluten free pasta is not only the best around, but they will boil it separately and they have gluten free crackers for the appetizers. Do yourself a favor and eat here. Even if you are gluten free....
