I’m going to come back and edit my comment once I remember what my waiter’s name was. She was GREAT. My food was good and the bartender did her thing on the margaritas! I’m specifically leaving this review for the GENERAL MANAGER who needs to learn what southern hospitality really is.

The first thing he did wrong was approach my table and gave me a card to leave a review but did not even introduce himself. Literally walked up, left the card on the table, asked us to leave a review and walked off. You need to introduce yourself and make yourself personable. I should not have had to call you back to the table just to figure out who you were. First impression is everything right? Don’t ask me to leave a review for you when I don’t even know who you are.

Another thing I noticed about him was that he doesn’t treat his employees well based off of the interactions both me and by partner witnessed while we were there. When the employees are happy you can rest assure the customers will be too. If the head isn’t right nothing that follows is. You can have structure and order without being supercilious. Don’t be one of those ppl who abuse positions of power. It’s not that deep. Relax.

Last but not least, I will be back. I hope you remember me. As a general manager AND a black man, this isn’t something I should even have to leave a review and tell you. Work on your people skills and treat your employees better.

Nonetheless, I’d recommend anyone in Metairie area to patron this restaurant based on how the waiter treated me. She was attentive, kind, knowledgeable about the menu and HONEST. I hope to get her again when...

The Bloody Mary here is fantastic. The dessert here was fantastic. Everything else was pretty good by comparison to the rest of the area and the price range of the food.

The Bloody Mary comes with fried shrimp, a crabcake, bacon, and then the usual additions to the beverage and it was so good. The drink itself had good flavor and it was just peppery enough without being too much. The fried shrimp had good flavor and it was a good crabcake also.

We got debris style fries that had the traditional New Orleans debris style beef with cheese and a crawfish mushroom cream sauce. This was good, I enjoyed it. The issue with the New Orleans area is that a lot of places do similar things so you really need to be at the top of your game. The cream sauce at The Gumbo Stop is better, and the Debris at Mother's is better. That's not to say this isn't good, just falls in a similar price range and isn't as good.

The BBQ Shrimp had good flavor, and were significantly cheaper, but we've been spoiled by having the BBQ Shrimp at Mr. B's, which is one of the best dishes in New Orleans.

The Seafood Gumbo also had nice flavor but was pretty light in heft. Most gumbo's i've had are more like a stew being really hearty, and this was more like a soup. The Gumbo at the Gumbo Stop is the best i've had. Similarly priced and much heartier.

The banana split cheesecake was excellent.

None of that is to say that this wasn't good, maybe some of these critique's could be taken into consideration for the menu so that this place is on par with the competition. As it stands, I wouldn't go back for anything other than the...

I've had the burgers from this place before, it was good. This time we were craving a poboy for dinner and it was late, not many choices of who's open after 9...saw the photos of their sandwiches and Cajun tacos and decided to try them too. Looked good online at least.

Picked up the food. It was ready pretty fast, so that's at least a plus. Got home with it all and it was very underwhelming to say the least. Shrimp are like the small ones you would find in a gumbo, not the usual ones you would expect on a po boy. There were not many on either plate, and they were pretty rubbery. Not good. $40 for dinner that I would have paid $20 for at a food truck and been twice as happy with. Fries were soggy, bun was week, toppings were almost non existent.

I hope this isn't the way their food normally is, in fact, I know it usually isn't. I've had the burgers before. Maybe it was a bad night for them, but someone needs to get things straightened out over there. For a restaurant that has about as New Orleans of a name that you could imagine, they didn't have the poboys that say New Orleans.

To their credit, the manager did get on the phone with my fiance and offer us something in the future since we aren't going back tonight.... but that was after about a 15 minute wait on hold listening to a Boby Hebert recording urging us to post images of the food and tag them on social media ....so....here we are.

If our next visit is good, I'll come back and edit this post. But in the meantime, all I have is an unsatisfied craving for a good shrimp poboy...

It's ok. Regular fare, similar to a franchise like Applebys, or Chili's, lots of seafood selections...fried shrimp, fried catfish, fried crabcake. Pasta dishes are mostly with Alfredo sauce for some reason. They have po-boy' s, and burgers too. It's a spacious restaurant, clean, nice size bar...as a matter of fact, a party of 30 came in without reservations, and were seated. Our server was a nice kid named Michael, who was polite and attentive. We started with a $12.00 drink called a "Sangritini", but it had no Sangria or vodka or gin in it. It was very tasty, though. THE FOOD: The girl who would be my girlfriend had a Ceasar salad with roast beef and she said it was very good. I ordered the Seafood Platter and Red Beans and Rice side. The rice was a lump, stuck to the bottom of the cup, and I thought it might have been microwaved because of the top, which had a kind of film on top. It had decent flavor. The Seafood Platter was a crabcake, fried shrimp, fried catfish, French fries and onion rings. It's a lot of fried food. The crabcake had nice crab flavor and had a bit of a kick to it. The shrimp were good, medium sized, with tails on. The catfish was really good. Nice breading and tender meat inside. Both fries and onion rings were very good. Like I said, it was ok. Nothing tremendously spectacular, nor bad. The men's room was clean, and although the parking lot isn't huge, after 6 or 7 pm, you can park next door.
