Read moreCCs management out of Baton Rouge continues to make policies that discourage loyalty. The latest is when I order a grande coffee and a triple espresso. I ask for a little cream in both. (Cream from the fridge, not steamed). Apparently the cream in coffee if free, but add a little cold cream to an espresso drink and BAM, 75 cents. Management says, “just order the cream in the little containers”. This makes no sense. I could hold up your driveway and create trash OR I could try to add cream while driving. This continues a long history of why this once large chain shrinks in locations. I was literally once told by management in Baton Rouge that my order was “taking advantage of the menu”. Don’t get me started on the worst loyalty program I have ever seen. (Who lets points expire?!? And cant bother to have a POS that attaches the points to my credit card) Honestly, just shutdown your stores and let a coffee shop that cares about growing...
Read moreCold. Everything was cold. I asked for my hot chocolate super hot, I had to put it in the microwave. I took the lid off my oatmeal, then had to put it in the microwave. I also got a biscuit, so hard I didn't even bother with the microwave (I'd already been there twice). Also, the hot chocolate tasted watered, sure I asked for sugar free but in Baton Rouge sugar free didn't taste this bland. The oatmeal was super thick and cardboard-y, probably because I had to put it in the microwave. The bonus, I used my "hot" chocolate to add moisture to my oatmeal...Food blunders aside, it's very dark inside. It's one thing to have mood lighting, but I visit coffee shops to study and if it's too dark that defeats the purpose. Sure there are tables near the windows but few plugs for computers. All in all I think I'll stick to French Press...
