Update: came back a few years later to try the restaurant again and it was even worse. Long lines incredibly slow service. Walked out. You can't order at the kiosk and have them pay by cash which is incredibly frustrating
Incredibly slow service. Stood for 10 minutes while the single cashier in a crowded place chatted with customer ignoring everybody in line. Five to ten times more people waiting then were eating. Super overpriced menu of average food. Even the parking lot seems to be inefficiently designed. On top of all this they screwed up every single item on my order, and overcharged me. I guess it is a good thing they are migrating over to these automated kiosks from taking orders because their staff seems apathetic and uninterested in doing things right.
Now, on to the food. The hamburgers are surprisingly small with a big piece of meat on a tiny bun apparently designed to convey an impressive sense of scale to somebody who perhaps has never eaten at another burger place? The meat has no flavor. the only distinctive taste are the chopped cherry peppers, but it is not enough to carry the burger. The fries are perhaps the most disappointing of all, overcooked Frozen supermarket crinkle-cut fries that have no taste other than grease. This "cheese sauce" they had appears to neither be cheese nor sauce. It would make Velveeta seem like gourmet. It's more like caulk than cheese.
the developers of this place have huge balls to open up such a mediocre and overpriced burger place within throwing distance of at least five or ten other places that are better and cheaper including mooyah which I would recommend over this place on every level.
Well I checked this place off my list. It's unlikely I will ever return again.
Note to people trying to park here..., if you are driving a big vehicle be advised the parking spaces are too small, enough forcing you to park in such a way so that everybody else will look inconsiderate having a park across the...
Read moreOverall, not a place I would really go out of my way to visit, due to the high price for the end result, but it did have a few redeeming qualities.
Chicken nuggets were small but fabulous! Reminded me of Chick-fil-a nuggets but with a slightly thicker and much tastier and crunchier batter. Definitely made me want to return in the future to try their chicken sandwich. I made the mistake of ordering the 6-piece, which left my mouth wanting more but my wallet saying, "Not a chance!" Just get the 10-piece; trust me, it won't be too much.
The sweet iced tea was pretty good, as brewed teas go, but they only have the soda machine in the front for free refills. They DO give free tea refills, but you have to go back to the counter to ask for it.
The hamburger patty was thin and greasy, and outright burnt to a crisp (literally) at the edges. The dressings were 4x the thickness of the double patties we got, but were fresh and delicious (lettuce, tomato, and onion). Considering the price ($9.00) for just the burger, the price was too much for what looked more like a lettuce and tomato sandwich.
We also got the fries with bacon and cheese, which, while good, left lots of room for improvement. The cheese tasted pre-prepared, like the cheap, canned nacho cheese, when we were expecting real cheese melted over the fries. The bacon, however, was cooked perfectly -- nice and crisp -- with a good amount atop the fries.
The Shake Shack Sauce appears to be a mayonnaise-based sauce, with maybe a little ketchup in it. We didn't like it as much by itself, as when we mixed it in with the BBQ sauce packet they gave us; THAT was delicious!
SUMMARY: Higher-priced burger joint, with definitely edible food. Just don't expect a lot of meat (beef...
Read moreI just finished my to go order double stack smoke shack burger with sauce on the side and salted caramel shake. It was a pretty good burger. Nothing very special. The peppers gave it a little kick. I didn't get my sauce on the side so I do not know what it taste like on the burger. I did add, lettuce, tomatoes and onions and was happily surprised that there wasn't an extra cost. The price was little high but would be considered average when going to places like this. The burger was cooked nicely, not well done which made me happy because I'm a medium cooked girl. The shake was very good. Would have loved that it was a tad bit thicker. For the size of the cup, the price was slightly high. I would have preferred a larger cup. They need to consider larger cups for an upcharge. I wanted to pay cash, but was forced to use my card. I wasn't happy about that. I would have given 3 stars but I gave them 4 stars because of the cashiers service. She waited for me to go get my card, and when I asked where to wait she told me where very nicely. When I stated that I was going to go sit in my car which was parked in handicap, she politely offered to bring my order out to me. I thought that went above and beyond, and I was grateful. The cashiers made me realize that they get extremely good customer service training. All and all, pretty good and I would try it again. Parking is pretty tight and the construction on that corner made it worse because at least one of the people working the construction, probably a supervisor had the nerve to park his big truck in prime parking. I wish I could remember the cashier's name but kudos to you from the lady with the dreads and blue dress. You are a great ambassador for...
