Follow Tea — Restaurant in Louisiana

I absolutely love this place. From the social media-ready decor to hospitality of the owner, and especially the fun and delicious drinks, you won't be disappointed coming here. They are currently out of a few things due to supply chain issues but that is not their fault so I didn't take any points off for that. I visit this place every Tuesday when I'm out iMetairie. My favorite so far is the Brulee Bobo (boba) with Milk Tea. I could use a bit more tea in mine but I was informed that when they tried to increase the tea flavor, people complained, which sucks. That's where the one star of food comes from, but that's just my personal preference.

The other great thing about this place is they are always adding off the menu drinks and even created one I asked for.. an oolong rose tea.

You may be confused and initially off-putting when you see there's cheese or egg pudding on top of your boba, but trust me it works. The fruit teas are also amazing. The Lychee Rose is so good and picture- worthy. The Sakura Matcha is also delicious.

Next time you're feeling adventurous, ignore all the other boba places, and come check out this Taiwanese cheese tea place ASAP. You will love it and become a weekly customer of this lovely local business like I am.

I ordered the Lychee Rose Cheese Tea ($6.75), the Sakura Matcha Latte with Bobo ($5.25), and the Oreo Salted Buttercream Croffle ($6.00). They were all so delicious! The combo of cheese foam and lychee rose tea may sound kind of weird, but surprisingly it worked well! The Sakura Matcha Latte was good too, but it was just another iced matcha latte in my opinion; nothing too special, but still not a bad drink. As for the Oreo Salted Buttercream Croffle, it was really tasty! For those who don’t know what a croffle is, it is a combo of both a croissant and a waffle. The salted Oreo buttercream was so creamy and flavorful. Although, I do wish that it was a bigger size.

The staff was nice and quick with my order. The decor is so pretty and trendy! There’s an small area designated for people to take pictures, which is so cool! Everything is so aesthetically pleasing here.

My only issue is that they had no small and large options for their drinks. For instance, the Lychee Rose Cheese Tea only came with a large size and the Sakura Matcha Latte only came with a small size. If they had various sizing options for all of their drinks, I would give a full 5 stars. Aside from that, I have nothing to complain about. I will definitely follow...

Highly inadequate customer service. The staff was not friendly, welcoming, or helpful. They had a lot of prepared teas and they were just sitting on the counter for a while instead of being called out as ready. We realized this when we and several other customers started going up to the counter since our wait had been quite long already. The woman sorting out the teas (in store orders vs GrubHub) seemed to be very confused. Perhaps all the workers were simply having a bad day?

Also, they ended up giving us three teas! Apparently, they heard us order three teas. We just ordered two. When I finally received my order, the woman said, "do you want the third one? He charged you for it anyway." I just wanted to be done with this place at this point so I said, "I'll just take it" and left, but she should have offered to refund the extra tea I never ordered but was charged for. I don't understand how this isn't obvious. The entire experience was unnecessarily time-consuming and frustrating.

I'm just glad there are other tea places nearby. Next time I want tea I'm going to Sharetea or VIVI Bubble Tea (which are close by) instead. It's a shame since it's a cute place and the...
