Can I rate it a Minus 10???. My wife and I went to Impastato’s Restaurant on Oct. 2, 2014, The manager, Billy, was sitting at the bar, too busy to bid us hello, with a glass in his hand. We ordered our dinner, and in the meantime, we were served overcooked burnt bread. My wife told me to eat from the bottom of the bread. The next thing I knew, my wife cracked her front tooth on the hard burnt bread. I called the waitress over to show her the partial tooth and to let her know what had happened. Then the water server came by, and my wife told her what happened. When our food was brought to our table, a third waitress was informed of the problem. After a while I asked if the manager was aware of the problem. Our waitress said Billy was told by each of the staff members. Billy never came to our table, in fact, he did all he could to avoid the situation. After we paid the bill with a tip, we confronted Billy with a piece of the burnt bread and asked what could he do about it. Billy took the bread in the back and seconds later came out from the kitchen yelling for us to leave and said that it is not his fault that my wife does not know how to eat bread. Once in the car, we called Mr. Impastato and he basically told us to go to hell and that he was not “going to fix her damn tooth”. Then he called me a Bastard and hung up on me. What a guy, and this is a family business. In any other restaurant, the manager or owner, would at least have said he or she was sorry that happened. Even an apology would have gone a long way, but not with these low- lifes. I will never darken that door again and word of mouth will not increase his business. We eat out at least three or four nights a week and in all my years, I have never had such poor treatment. I do believe in Karma. also, I failed to mention that the food left a lot to be...
Read moreI've been meaning to leave a review for this restaurant for some time and I'm glad I'm finally able to. I absolutely love this place. I stumbled into this restaurant one time when one of my grad school classes let out early a few years ago. There was a gentleman on stage singing Frank Sinatra songs. I walked in in shorts lol. Regardless of how I looked, the gentleman who sat me and took my order was an utmost professional. I have a masters degree in hotel, resort, and tourism management so I can spot good service from a mile away. This place is top notch. I've been back multiple times over the years. It's a little pricier than I can afford on a regular basis, but I frequent this place is much as I can when I have some extra cash or there is a special occasion. Everything I've eaten here has been tremendous. Even the butter. I know that sounds strange, but try stick of butter at IHOP and tell me it's the same. The service has always been impeccable. Servers in suits providing five star customer service. I can only assume that the older gentleman with a slightly higher voice is the owner. He is always so incredibly sweet and friendly. Goes out of his way to make sure everyone is happy. The sports memorabilia may not be for everybody, but I think it's really cool. You could very easily take a date here. It's fancy. At the same time, I've been in here by myself. Can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Most of the time, I'm absolutely decimating places in my reviews so it's nice to have a place that I can't complain about. From my educational background in hospitality and restaurants to Decades of personal experience, these guys are definitely at the top of the food chain. Looking forward to...
Read moreI am not one for giving reviews much especially bad ones but last night was a horrible experience. Four of us went to Impastato’s for a friend’s birthday. When we got there, no one greeted us. Several servers walked by without even acknowledging us. Not even a smile. After waiting several minutes, An older gentleman in a suit comes up to grab something from the counter so I tell him that we were waiting to be seated. (We had reservations) He tells me in a rude manner that we have to just wait for Joe. (I think that was his name) like we knew why that was. Finally Joe comes to seat us and as we are walking through the crowded restaurant, the same older gentleman in the suit cuts between 2 of the four of us and makes us step aside for him to walk by. Totally rude on his part. WE ARE TGE GUESTS! Then we are seated and brought appetizers and no utensils or napkins were on the table. My appetizer was wrong so everyone else was finished theirs by the time I got mine. My niece ordered a Bloody Mary which tasted like pure vegetable juice so they took it and didn’t bring it back for about 15 minutes. I also asked that when the desert came, they surprise my friend and sing for her birthday as I had watched several tables do this but when it was time here came the older man in the suit again! He comes to the table and asks whose birthday was it. There went the fun of that! Service took forever which is understandable in these times but there were several staff working so I didn’t understand. And now while eating the leftovers, I bite into a bread...
