Read my full review to learn about the unexpected charge that gets added on. So the food is good, location could be better. The sign is barely visible, if you drove up at night, you wouldn't know from looking that it was a restaurant. Parking lot looks sketchy af. Tables inside are covered with cigarette burns, there's no vibe to the dining area. The food makes up for the weak atmosphere. I did find it strange that there's an automatic 15% gratuity on the check that you don't know about before ordering. That's with the owner serving, not a waitress. I normally tip 20-30% but with the unexpected tip added to the check, I didn't feel like tipping past the 15%. I get doing an automatic gratuity for tables of 4-6 people. But for just one or two people dining in? I would eat there again. But they really need to fix the place up, or at least update the sign outside to one that can be read. I like hole in the wall restaurants, but this place and the strip mall looks a bit too much like...
Read moreThe breakfast was good. The way the restaurant looked not good. My wife and I aarived and the place has really dark tints on the windows(maybe to keep the sun out) but this will also keep the people out. Its set up as a small restaurant but a lounge as well, I think. It has a pull down screen, and dusty projector that was burry as can be (use the damn focus dial on the projector) I wanted to fix it for them but god forbid if I would have. The place feels like its still in renovation stage, walls fill with compound and the wood work around the windows is nice but not completely done. The VIP section (I think thats what that was) was dusty. The ambiance just needs to be fixed, please. The little older lady was so sweet and kind and because of her and the food she made us I am giving them a 3 star otherwise a one star for the place. That being said the food was damn...

It was a Thursday evening for this visit, and it was completely dead. The server was a bit pointed when I kept asking what things were, apologizing that I knew very little Spanish. This part kind of soured the experience.
I ordered three orders of mofongo, tostones, and maduros frita Friday to go for the family. The wait was about 15-20min. The food itself looked pretty good
Price was IMO a bit high at around $100 for what was ordered and received. Biggest word of advice when ordering is know they apparently automatically add 15% gratuity to every order, so don't get caught off guard.
If you're looking for some decent ethnic food, give it a try. I won't frequent this location again, but it was a nice change of food...
