When you have high hopes and you end up somewhat disappointed was my experience here. I truly had high hopes since I’m a huge fan of their sister restaurant.
We were seated promptly on arrival. I must say I did enjoy the atmosphere/ambiance. They have indoor and outdoor seating which is nice. Loved the natural light that comes in from the windows. Our waiter was cool! He offered suggestions and also answered questions. I decided to try the Peachy Greens salad, the Flambee Brie and Frozen French for my adult beverage. My son split the salad with me and ordered the spaghetti and meatballs.
The salad was huge! It looked pretty but honestly the taste was off for me. I think it would be better served with fresh peaches instead of what tasted like canned peaches. Also I think an arugula spring mix would go well rather than baby spinach. The salad was drenched in dressing which for me was too much. I would have rather had it on the side.
The flambee brie was good! They offer different style pizzas but I truly enjoy a good thin crust. I would order this again. The Frozen French was tasty as well! My sons spaghetti looked yummy. He loved it but I personally didn’t care for it. The meatballs were extremely tough to cut through. They were very dense. The sauce for me had too much black pepper and I like pepper.
I would probably come back only for happy hour and order a few appetizers and a flambee. Pricing was decent. Total bill before tip was $50...
Read moreI remember this place used to serve decent to good pizza, but after the last visit was really disappointing. First off, they were severely understaffed. They only had 2 people working the room that was about 3/4 full with lots of take out orders so service was slow, transactional, and impersonal. The person working the bar and the other tables was trying his best to keep up, but he seemed to give his regulars much more attention. This is actually great if you are a regular! It took more than an hour and a half to eat a relatively small and simple meal here.
We ordered the pizza fries, pepperoni pizza, and champignon flambee. Pizza fries were OK. The crust on the pepperoni tasted premade with the little holes from a spiked roller. The crumb was really fluffy, slightly undercooked, and the texture felt like it was full of dough conditioners. Like most other pizzas in town, the cook is too cool to make any crispy edges on the pepperoni or crust. The champignon flatbread had good flavors but crunchy rather than crispy and due to it being too dry. However, the meal was definitely edible and OK, but not good enough to make me want more.
Maybe I'm too critical about my pizza, but most places in town are mid to bleh, in my opinion. I think this is more of a personal preference on pizza as the place had good business with consistent take out orders and...
Read moreWe were so disappointed. Our waitress was great but that’s the only thing positive I can say. It all started with us being 1 of 2 parties in the restaurant at 6pm, yet we were seated on top of the other group. When going back and forth between the regular menu and the restaurant week menu, it was confusing. I thought the point of restaurant week was to introduce you to their cuisine. But yet menu items on the restaurant week menu are not available on a regular day. We chose to order from the restaurant week menu. Our appetizers were by far the best part of our meals. The entrees were nothing to write home about and the desserts were a complete let down. The staff seemed chaotic and there were only a few tables occupied when we left. I’d really hate to see how they handle a rush. There is a ton of room for improvement. I just feel terrible because our kids were excited to treat us to dinner last night and they were so disappointed with...
