I’ve been in probably 100+ Starbucks in the last 20 years in many states. This one is slower than most other Starbucks(nearby Thibodaux is better/faster and also slow) which all seem to be disorganized and slow. I find the fastest Starbucks are inside Barnes and Nobles(way better desserts here) and Target. Parking lot is like a maze like most Starbucks. Over the years the coffee seems to be less in quality despite rising prices. This was the first Starbucks that I tried and long ago they served everything in ceramic and brought it to your table. They had better desserts like the chantico which I guess was discontinued long ago. I thought it was great back then, I can go better places for the same or less that roast coffee on site while I watch. Now it’s more focused on giving large paper cups of mediocre coffee to big(venti) people in big SUV through the drive-in window. If you go inside you will see an assortment of hipsters with their backpacks and laptops and most look too old to be in school. Always hard to find a place to sit. Read moreTried to place a large to go order and the barrista could not answer how many people a large container of coffee would serve. He also said "like" way too many times. He said that finding out how many ounces in a gallon would take too long to figure out. (There are 128 oz in a gallon then you just divide how many oz in a cup 8 or 12 to determine how many people it would serve...) When asked about specialty drinks in large containers he said "it would be really expensive".
Obviously price was not my concern as I was ordering for 25 people.
It would have been a much more pleasant experience if he would have known his products and how to serve them versus telling me he couldn't figure it out and that it would be too expensive.

I stood there as one item at a time was placed on the counter slowly for my order. 3 empty bags that were supposed to be muffins was placed there with my order still nothing was said to me and was never asked if i needed anything. I had to ask them about my muffins as I became impatient only to find out that they were out. I had to ask for them to bag all items into one bag. I was refunded, but had to go through an act of congress to even get that back. I normally never have an issue but today was super busy this morning and the staff were stressed and could not keep up all while the manager sat there at a table visible to guests on his computer unnoticed by the long lines or his team being overwhelmed.
