Kuhlman was our server and we could ask for better. That young man seems very genuine. Everytime he checked on us, we could feel hus sincerity and it was obvious that he paid attention. The questions he lead with were perfectly timed according to our needs and were not just to remind us of his presence. We asked his suggestions on the market and desserts and his descriptions were so personal, from personal experience that we could share. It made for more enjoyment of taste. And not just flavor, but class as well. The food was impeccable. The Picanha is typically one steaks we find just okay, but at Texas de Brazil's made it our one of our favorite, it was like a Filet. The bacon wrapped chicken and their pork were so delicious and juicy. I usually try to stay away from the potatoes and other filling sides, but I couldn't. Kuhlman, made it sound to good not to try it. And I only recently gave plantain a chance at a Honduran restraint in a soup and discovered I like it. The cinnamon sugary plantain cleansed the pallet prepping for each new flavor, but they were so good I could have settled on that for dessert. I decided then and there dessert could only be devine. But, before I move on to dessert, I want to recommend their Cream of Jalapeno soup. That was so good that I had two bowels and used it as a gravy on tbe potatoes. OH MAN, THAT WAS SO GOOD! As for dessert they have everyone's favorite. In our case, we shared the Brazilian Cheese Cake, YUM, so good your eyes roll back in their sockets. And since we live carrot cake and chocolate cake we got a slice of each to bring home. Both were delicious, but the carrot cake goes well beyond. I want to close by saying that the gauchos were all a complement to Texas de Brazil and make thier service shine above other experiences.

Our original reservation for Valentine’s Day was for 2 at 9:45pm. After adding two more to our party I scheduled it for 9:30pm I remember selecting Friday but could be wrong or the system had an error. When we arrived the polite hosts did not see the reservation and told me there was no way they could seat us as they were over booked understandably. I asked to speak to the manager and Michael approached I explained the situation to him and showed him the text I received from the restaurant. He was able to get us squeezed in after we drove two hours away from lake charles which was a relief considering it’s a holiday. We waited about 30-40 minutes and once we sat we were greeted by an extremely friendly and knowledgeable server named Jayda. She made sure we had everything we needed and was very attentive. Recommended the perfect wines, and desserts to top off the meal. The food was exquisite with the freshest salad bar and high quality meat. The most memorable Gaucho was Josh who was extremely friendly, and asked us if there was a specific meat we were looking for and temperature. He seemed to be very busy around the restaurant attending to multiple areas of the floor. Once we noticed we were the last ones in the restaurant we asked for the check and Jayda was very friendly and patient with us even though their hours were extended. Thanks for making this a memorable experience for my party and I. We would rate it 10 stars if that was an option and will definitely be back in the future. Thank you, thank you, thank you! :)

we did the all you can eat, 3 people for $300ish. i forgot to get a pic of my food before i ate it because they bring you meats one after the other. when we sat down we were encouraged to go to the soup and salad bars. i got some lobster bisque instead of whatever the shrimp soup was because the shrimp was shelled. the bisque contained no seafood or solids (just the liquid), so i didn't finish it. our waitress brought us garlic mashed potatoes, cheap fries, and fried cinnamon bananas completely unprompted (fiance said it's a ploy to fill you up on their cheaper foods). the apps went to waste because we were determined to save room for meats. i waited until the end to eat the sugared bananas, but a bitter unripe taste got stuck in my mouth and there wasn't enough sweetness to mask it. took them a bit after our initial request and our waitress going back to the kitchen several times before we got our filet mignon. 3 stars because i hate unnecessary food waste, and i liked some of their meats on the rarer side.

First year anniversary ruined!!! I have been to this restaurant before and had a wonderful experience and could not wait to go back. My wife and I decided to go back for our 1 year anniversary. I booked a 7:45pm reservation on a Sunday night, HUGE MISTAKE. While booking online, I check anniversary and requested flowers for the table. (1)Once at the restaurant and we were seated, no flowers and then was told that they do not fill that request. I was never contacted by anyone and told this was not an option. So, no flowers for my wife’s first anniversary. (2) I requested 2 sparkling bottle waters from the waitress but was brought 2 spring waters and did not find out until I had already opened one bottle. I let my waitress know that these were the wrong waters and she said that I had to pay for the open one and she could bring me 1 correct sparkling water bottle. So, luckily I did pay for the extra bottle of spring water for my wife to drink, because our waitress never offered us anymore water for the rest of the night. (3) Texas de Brazil has these amazing garlic and butter rolls that I enjoyed the first time there but we had to request for them this time and was brought out old and rock hard rolls. Ask the waitress for some fresh ones because they were too hard to eat and was brought out the same thing. Just gave up on the rolls. (4) We knew that the restaurant closed at 8:30pm but was not told that we wouldn’t have service the whole night and the salad bar closed on us before we were ready to leave. The thought process was that if we made reservations at 7:45pm that we could still enjoy our dining experience after closing and not be forced out the door. The waitress stop coming around, the meat stop coming and the salad bar shut down with no warning. We finally flagged our waitress down and she had to take a request of what meat we would like and they would bring it out. Because we had only been there for a short period of time, we didn’t get to try anything different from what we already had. So, we could only order the same thing because we didn’t know what other choices they had to offer. We thought to come back again but at an earlier time so that we could get better service because obviously 7:45pm on a Sunday is the worst time to dine there. But to ruining our first anniversary is unacceptable. WE WILL NEVER ATTEND THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN. My hope is that you guys will get your staff together and have them treat late dinners as well as you treat early ones. The price is the same and people celebrate different things and different times. After picking our month old girl up from the babysitter, we warned the couple do not go to Texas de Brazil, which was the total opposite of what we told them when dropping...

Went to Texas de brazille on June 30 to celebrate my 46 birthday in the waiting area while I was waiting area for a table this nice kind lady who was there to celebrate her son's birthday on July 1 gave me $40 in cash after I told her I was there to celebrate my birthday.I thanked her because my parents taught me good old fashioned manners and I was taught to say thank you when people do things for you and give you cash or presents .I told her I was low income and getting salad bar only Since she gave me $40 in cash I told her I was getting meats too.I hate rules and when I go to a restaurant I don't expect people to give me a hard time over putting salmon in a zip lock bag to take home because I couldn't eat it all. This dorky nerdy strict manager gave me a hard time for putting my salmon in a Ziploc bag and then on July 11 convinced my brother who was treating me to a birthday dinner that I stole from the restaurant. The dorky nerdy manager also known as a life ruiner brought tab check to my table on June 30 bill 65.Put $40 cash in to pay bill but bill was $65 so I put my debit card in Manager walked away briefly and came back said somebody at another table picked up the tab because it was my birthday.I told the manager on June 30 can I have my $40 cash back and he gsve it back to me and my debit card was not charged on June 30.Manager wanted me out of restaurant thursday July 11 and Perkins Rowe security walked me back to my condo July 11 my July 11 birthday dinner ruined. My parents also taught me not to steal.Stealing hurts business especially Texas de brazille that has to pay rent to be at Perkins Rowe.If there was no customer who picked up the manager shouldn't have told me that.I had $47 in my checking account on June 30 +$40 in cash so I had enough to pay for my dinner on June 30 but yet on July 11 the manager said I didn't have enough to pay thr tab.I was going to bring my best friend Amy to dine at Texas de brazille but not anymore.Keep this up Texas de brazille and you will go bankrupt and be out of business. If you want good steak go to Ruth Chris they don't kick customers out ban them and falsely accuse them...

Great food, and I come here often because my family and I like to buy the VIP cards whenever they’re on sale so we end up going several times a year. Dress code is pretty casual— I’ve dined here with shorts and sandals plenty of times before. It’s easy to get your clothes dirty, so best to not wear anything you will regret getting stained. Spacious and well decorated interior, with friendly staff greeting you as you enter. For the most part it will be dimly lit unless you are sitting at the front or close to where the salad bar is. You are brought or offered a basket of Brazilian bread bites, garlic mashed potatoes, and fried cinnamon bananas for your table and can have as much as you want of those as well. Wide selection to choose from in vegetables, cheeses, condiments, and sides. They also have a hot food area with rice, mushrooms, potato au gratin, lobster bisque, and my favorite: the fish stew/curry. I mainly come here for the endless meats, but the fish stew is my favorite thing that’s non-meat. My only complaint about the salad bar is that sometimes the fish in the stew is overcooked after sitting too long, or that the rice and mushrooms are overly salty. For the meat, my favorites vary depending on the day because sometimes they are very inconsistent with the cook. I highly recommend the beef rib, lamb chops, flank steak, spicy picanha, and Brazilian sausage. Sometimes they overcook a meat, or maybe you get an edge piece that is too salty. Also, you tend to get splashed a lot with juices from the meat when the servers are coming around with the meat to your table. I don’t think I’ve ever come out of here stain free 🤣

All in all, food is good and it’s honestly worth the price tag.

Edit: another inconsistent thing is the service. Sometimes you may or may not get an inattentive server who is too busy chatting to pay attention to getting refills or taking additional requests from the table. Good luck to anyone who has Madison as your server if she still works there 😂 And sometimes the gauchos may take a long time to get to your table or straight up start ignoring your table even when you...
