The waiter was super nice I ordered pancakes and eggs and the eggs were a little burned, i tried to eat around the burned pieces until i just moved it to the side to finish the delicious pancakes. The waiter asked me how everything was and I told him "really good except the eggs were a little burned" he apologized and told me that he would take it off my ticket, i let him know that he DIDN'T have to do that and that it is fine. He persisted in taking it off my ticket and asked me if i would like something else to replace them, and I asked him for Hashrowns. He informed the cook in what i wanted. About two minutes later the cook rushed to my table with the plate of eggs and rudely asked me "where is this burned?, u want us to replace it something else but we cant give free food away, show me the burned pieces because if it was burned it would have been black, u ate most of it, im the manager, and i dont see anything burned here, i would have to charge you for it" he kept going on for about a minute or two saying "where is this burned" "i dont see what your talking about" over and over even after i told him it tasted burned, he also gave off a VERY RACIST VIBE, he was talking AT me in the most rude and demeaning way it was awful, I didnt even ask for free food in fact i told the waiter that he didnt have to take it off because to me it wasnt a big deal. But that cook made it a big deal. I dont know if the cook was offended because his eggs was a bit burned, but treating me that way because i didnt like something was totally uncalled for, unprofessional, and beyond rude, i never experienced such cruel behavior from the service industry...... I then told the "manager" "dont worry about the hashbrowns" because i just wanted to go at that point, and he responded "ok" without a care in the world. The waiter came back apologizing for what happened and gave me the bill and i thanked the waiter for his kindness, and i kindly walked out and i wont come back or recommend this...
Read moreI have to start by saying that Google reviews are incredibly biased. For example, my reviews actually way more than others because of the level I am on through them.
Tonight, I decided to try this restaurant again after a long break. The service and consistency have always been inconsistent to the point where it is less stressful for me to go to Dot's Diner. However, it was after midnight so it was this or IHOP, which is substantially worse although cheaper. When I first walked in, a lady came over and took my drink order. She was very friendly from beginning to end and I have no issue with her at all. She seemed very sweet. From there, however, things got worse and worse. She asked me what kind of cheese I would like on my eggs and I told her to surprise me because whatever she picked would be delicious. Well, my surprise was that there was no cheese on it at all lol!! The meal was decent, but a tad overcooked and definitely not worth $14. Speaking of, when the check finally arrived I went to hand her my debit card and she said that the credit card machine isn't working. She then instructed me to go to an ATM where you have to have a $20 minimum along with a fee. I get paid on Thursdays. I had enough money to cover my meal and leave her a decent tip. Not pay an atm. The cook asked if I would send the money on cash app. They were lucky I actually left my information instead of just leaving, which I could actually do when services that way. I'm just not that type of guy. This place is okay, but it's not great. It seems that all of the 24-hour breakfast places in New Orleans are questionable at best. The lady was very nice, but that was about it. I'm trying to be nicer these days since I have recently surpassed 200,000 views so I took off one point for the debit card issue and another point for the cheese. I don't hate this place. It's just very inconsistent and this time was a gigantic hassle. I attached a picture of my eggs with no...
Read moreThe waitress was very prompt and efficient but calling me sweetheart doesn't make you friendly. Her demeanor was flat and dry. My first issue was the fact an $11.45 menu item came to a grand total of $17.32. The waitress literally rolled her eyes at me when I questioned the total and responded "cheese". Nothing else was said which in itself was rude but she also made it very clear that she was annoyed. You would think, the waitress would offer a receipt but of course not. I had to request the receipt and upon reviewing it, I can only say that i won't be returning. The prices are a little high in the first place then to charge $1.30 for a slice of cheese is a RIP OFF! It's my fault for not reading all the fine print because the also add 10% gratuity and close to 4% for using a card. In essence squeezing every penny they can from customers. I would have taken all of this without a word if the quality of the food was satisfying. I took my food to go but ate in the parking lot. Yes, I ate it because I was starving. The grits were luke warm at best, the cheese didn't even melt. The bacon was re-cooked and was beyond crispy, it was burnt. The biscuit was flat and doughy. The scrambled eggs...
