My husband & I stayed at the Ramada located in the same building. As part of our stay. When we booked the hotel it says continental breakfast included, that is an exaggeration. the selections are slim and limited to one item & one drink. The staff in the restaurant treat you like an inconvenience, the food comes out barley warm, no butter, jelly, or plastic silverware. The first morning we were here we went to Ihop for our breakfast and decided to dine in, as soon as the server (who I will leave nameless because I know everyone needs to work) saw our hotel cards she became rude and after asking us our selections completely ignored us. What she did not know was we were going to add coffee and sausage to our order to complete our breakfast. I am also a server and even if I ordered nothing extra I would have tipped for having taken up her table!! However, she never even came back to the table to check on us. The server working next to her did though, his name was Ramon & he is an excellent server. I observed how he treated all his guests. Even though we did not order our additionals through him because we were put off by our servers behavior and just wanted to leave, he did stop by and check on us twice. Maybe it was the look on my face :( For the rest of our 5 day stay we did not give any of our business to Ihop at all & every morning we got our "Continental" breakfast To-Go and ate in our rooms. Read moreUPDATE!! I followed the instructions when they replied to my original review. I went to the site I was instructed to go to and did a very in depth follow up on my review. I was emailed and told I would hear back from someone within a few days. Well that would have been last week. Apparently IHOP really does not care but add their response to customers complaints to give the illusion that they care to the general public. Obviously they don’t. Very disappointing. Another example of corporate greed.
We come to Metairie from uptown New Orleans because this is usually one of the better IHOPS. This experience was the worst. Our waitress was good. None of the issues were with her but the management or lack of. They were out of a lot of things napkins, lemons, onion rings and several other items. Our waitress busted her but she was answering the door, seating people, taking orders getting drinks delivering food. She never stopped. The manager, however, Sherry was really lazy. Just randomly walking around or sitting at a table doing nothing. Very lazy. I work in a management capacity and when my staff need help I am there for them with anything they need. Sherry could have at least helped with seating people. She could have gotten drinks and ran food but no she left that for the waitress who at one point had 8 tables. The manager could have run to the store to get basics like napkins, lemons, etc.
If we have another experience at this location, we will definitely go elsewhere.

Read moreI could not believe how bad it has been for the last 3 times I have gone in 3 different months. First time I could let it go everyone has bad days. Second time was a little more annoying but I dealt with it. This time I feel like enough is enough. I would say I received a greeting. Was it welcoming? No, not all. The restaurant was slow so you would imagine everything would go smooth. Again not the case. The first waitress didn’t even want us in her section. When we’re finally sat down our waiter took our orders properly and repeated our orders back to us. We confirmed the orders and somehow the order came back incorrect. I don’t know this happened. When the food arrived and we realized it wasn’t correct we decided we would fix a majority of the issues all we asked for were two plates from the person who sat us down. We never received those plates. Again how? I don’t know it’s not like she didn’t hear us because she replied. She was suppose to be a manager or team lead or whatever she was it was not how something is suppose to be handled. Some how the person that ordered after us got their food before us. The food was cold and every time I ordered the strawberry cheesecake pancakes the strawberry’s were on top. Somehow they decided to put it on the side.
