I was greeted nicely and seated promptly. My waitress came over immediately and asked if I knew what I wanted and ordered immediately. She didn’t say a single word to me after that. She brought out the food fairly quickly but I got no response to my “Thank You.” I had the All-American breakfast with eggs over easy, hash browns, and a cup of coffee. The coffee was very good. Eggs were a little runny (I should have ordered over medium) but good. Hash browns were a little under done (they always are, almost every where you go). I prefer hash BROWNS, not hash warms. The waffle was good too. During my meal I noticed that the music in the restaurant was quite loud. Is this one of those “Waffle House Night Clubs?” After one coffee refill I was virtually ignored. When I paid my check, again the waitress said absolutely nothing; she just rang it up, I handed her my card, she passed it back, I signed, handed it back and she put it in the register and walked away, nary a single word. It’d be nice to get a “thank you for coming” or a “you’re welcome“ to my “thank you” but I guess some people just don’t like their job or are...
Read moreWaffle houses are pretty consistent all over the country. Maybe you don't know that if you train at one waffle House you can work at any waffle House in the nation because they train everybody the same and they're all run with the same criteria. The difference in waffle houses is whether the people that work there are happy and take pride in their work or whether they're lackadaisical and don't care about being there. Most waffle houses are good places to go and eat. This one is one of the good ones the people there were friendly although I had never been there before I tend to talk to people and joke and have a good time with them and these people had good sense of humor and at the same time we're very professional. The food was good as I am accustomed to having there and will served in good time. I will be happy to go back and eat there again next time I'm...
Read moreHonestly, I wish I could put no stars. The staff lied to us that we could not sit 6 people to a table due to fire marshal regulations. After reading the fire marshal’s regulations, it stated there are no rules about how many people sat at a table, just how many people are in a building. The waiter simply could not handle waiting our table of 6. As regular tenants of this particular Waffle House, we were highly offended to have someone kick us out for something we’d done on several occasions before. We will never return to this Waffle House.
Update: thought let’s try it again 6 years later, still a disappointment. Waited for 30 minutes with no staff attention apart from them arguing over which group walked in first. Someone walked up to the bar, got their order placed before us and the other group. Still no drink orders, no silverware. Ended up walking out....
