went to Applebee's in Fern Creek and after the last two times I went with friends you would think I would have learned my lesson never to go back. Well, ladies they didn't disappoint!! Another disaster!! First we were sat at a table that hadn't been wiped down. After about 10 mins the very sweet waitress came to take our order. I asked her if she could bring a towel back With her to wipe the table down. She said she was surprised the hostess sat us there. After another 10 mins or so she came back with our drinks but no towel so I reminded her. About 15 mins later and still no towel Kristen got up and wiped it down with napkins from another table. In the meantime we still had not gotten our food. It wasn't anything they had to cook. Just a salad and dessert. The waitress told us there is drama in the kitchen so everything is taking longer. ( guy drama btw) Finally our food came and I had no silverware. The hostess who brought the food said she would go get me some. Next thing I know she is standing behind the bar talking to another waitress and the Mgr and just looking at us. The Mgr asked a 3rd waitress to get my silverware. I watched her walk over to the waitress station and proceed to talk to our waitress so I got up and walked over there. I told our waitress she needed find another job because this place is a! Whenever the boys in the back are fighting it's the waitress who pay for it. Got my silverware and sat down to eat. Kristen's brownie was hard! My salad was actually good. The manager came over and apologized for me having to get my own silverware etc. she took the dessert off our bill and charged me half for my salad. She said our waitress is overwhelmed and she's working with her to ask for help when she needs it. That's nice BUT when you see someone who could use some help then HELP HER!! Anyway, she asked us to come back and give them another chance. I think three strikes and you are OUT!! AND the hostess sat down to eat and when she got up she licked her fingers!! She serves your food people!! Oh and I can't forget there were dirty tables everywhere and when the guy came out to clean them he had on a baseball cap AND his pants were halfway...
Read moreSo the first time we had went was not a very good experience, per food and service.... But my wife and I thought we would give it another chance. Unfortunately the second chance was even worse. Started out by being sat a a table in which we had to wait almost a full 10 minutes (like our first visit), before being waited on. We ordered two sweet teas, an appetizer of spinach dip, and went ahead and ordered our meals. The drinks came out in a timely fashion, which was good, but it didnt take long to realize that the table was getting really wet. We then noticed my wife's glass had a hole near the bottom edge. We had to flag down a different waitress to see if she could fix the issue for us, not sure where ours was, but the hole was no big deal, it happens. About 20 minutes later, our appetizer finally comes out. It was really good btw. About one minute in, the waitress says the kitchen made another one for us by mistake, but we could have it at no charge. Cool.... Well after waiting what felt like forever for our meals, they finally show up. Didn't look great but hey, I love their bourbon street steak so game on. Usually comes out sizzling, but nothing this time. I ordered it medium well, but when I cut in to it, it was actually raw.....not just a thin portion of the middle, but the whole steak. Nope, I'm done. Im not sending it back, I'll just eat the potatoes and deal with it. About five bites in, my wife actually found a big piece of plastic baked into her mac and cheese. We told the waitress our issues, which she was great and totally not her fault, but at this point we were both finished. The manager came out and apologized and told us how they were short staffed, but to me that is no excuse for these issues. The manager took care of the entire bill, we still gave the waitress a $10 tip, but I will not be going back to this location. I still love Applebees, but I will find a different one to eat at...
Read moreHonestly, been living in KY since June 2022. Have been dining at this particular Applebee’s since my arrival and today (1/20/23) was probably the worst experience we’ve had since. Called about 8-12 minutes before arrival around 7 to make sure there wasn’t a wait time; we were told there wasn’t otherwise would’ve entered the wait list. Upon arrival there was a 20-25 minute wait time. No worries it’s whatever. Got seated and our waitress; Melissa B. (Hopefully the correct waitress as I know sometimes people ring up tickets under other people) was Absolutely ‘stellar’. Took our drink order then didn’t see her for another 15 minutes. Took our food order and patiently waited. I know food takes time to cook; when she brought out the plates-Napkins absolutely covering the bottom b/c they were “hot”- she immediately left the table before asking if we needed anything else. Btw, the food was indeed…. Cool. Not fully cold. But not warm/hot you know? Ordered the NEW Bacon Ranch Chicken sandwich; literally laughed as I peeled back the bun (looked a little less Saucy than the photo) and saw a literal toothpick streak of ranch. No bottom sauce. And was greeted with lunch room packets of mustard and mayo. Not what I ordered nor was that in the description. Cool, whatever just ask for more ranch, right? 25 minutes go by, waitress checking on other tables, no eye contact towards us to signal for her or call out over everybody in the building; I just say screw it and eat my food. Didn’t once check on us throughout the entire meal until she only handed us our check, but you know. No rush. 20 minutes before she recieves the check from our table then tags us out. I know restaurants are busy, but viewing other staff members helping out one another and bouncing around section to section whether it was grabbing drinks or just bringing out that servers food for them; not once did we get help. I don’t know. Not the best...
