This is extremely overdue as I have been a lover of Bae's since 2021, but I can't disappoint Griff on his bday so here we go! Bae's is the epitome of what a small, local business should be. They have built themselves from the ground up, literally from selling cookies in parking lots to having their beautiful new bakery and cafe. And while doing all of this, they support and uplift the community around them. I couldn't be more proud of Abigail and Griff for all of their hard work. If you go anywhere in Louisville, it needs to be here. They have everything your heart may desire. Cookies, cakes, scones, puffs, cookie cakes, cinnamon rolls, and now coffee and breakfast sammies too! Everything is great, but some of my personal favs are the bacon cheddar and chive scone, the cinnamon roll cookie, and their mini cookie cakes. Not only will your tastebuds thank you for going to Bae's, but also you have the pleasure of supporting two of the loveliest people I have ever met. Abigail and Griffin are simply amazing. They are so engaging and excited to see you. They get to know their customers to the point that I would call them friends. They make you want to come back again and again. I rave about Bae's to anyone and everyone who will listen and I will continue to shout my love from the rooftops. Love you guys!

I love Bae’s. Gotta be my favorite local bakery. The obsession began when I was working at Paul’s and used to buy their cookies we sold in-store all the time, particularly the Reese’s in Pieces and Velveteen. I’ve been to the bakery a few times now, and every experience has been so lovely. It’s the cutest little storefront with ample seating and beautiful decor, and I enjoy how they always have a few weekly specials in addition to their menu staples. Every customer service interaction I’ve had at Bae’s has been positive, but the individual working during my most recent visit (didn’t catch their name, but lots of tats) seriously brightened my day. They were incredibly personable and shared details about all of the special treats to help me make my decision. I ended up getting a cannoli cake slice and a cosmic brownie, both of which were top-notch. The cake was so moist and fluffy with so many little chocolate chips throughout and light icing which I didn’t find overly sweet. And the brownie was so fudgy and dense that I couldn’t stop taking bites! You all are awesome!!!!

We used Bae’s bakery for my daughter’s birthday cake. She requested a koala cake which is way beyond my skills as a mom who casually bakes. I sent in a request and received a response with thoughtful, kind and creative words. Once the design was settled my daughter waited for the day to come get her cake that she had been wanting all year. We picked it up and were greeted by smiling and joyful faces. The bakers came out and said happy birthday to my daughter and told her that her cake was their favorite. It was a little moment that my girl will remember forever. The cake itself was perfect, the design was flawless, the taste was out of this world. It is by far the best cake I have had in a long time. But what sets this place apart is the amount of love and care they pour into their work and relations with customers. My family are total Bae enthusiasts now because they not only provided a superb product, but they showed us true kindness and care. Also their cinnamon rolls and cookies are exquisite!

This place is very unorganized. I ordered a cake for my moms 70th birthday using the online ordering on their website. I placed the order on Jan 25th for Jan 28th pickup. I called on Jan 28th and supposedly I didn't fully complete the order (order confirmation email included all of the details and my full payment was taken) I was supposedly sent an email on Jan 27th that is asking me for the flavor of the cake etc, that email clearly stated that the soonest they could have this cake ready would be 1/31 so clearly its an inventory issue, that email came from a random person and not a business account so it went into my spam account. The employee at the store was very rude, the manager was just accusing me of being in the wrong and how he could offer me a a different cake if I told me the flavor I wanted. Day of pickup and he is asking for the flavore? Premade cake or fresh cakes?. I paid a lot of money for a specific cake, not a premade cake that has been sitting for a while if i wanted that i could have gone to the store and save 500% of the cost. I already picked out a cake that obviously for whatever reason they couldn't make. The owner was probably the nicest out of all 3, but sadly she kept asking how she could make this right, but kept ignoring the fact that the only way this could have been made right is by providing the cake I ordered for my mom at the promised time. But obviously that was not an option and the business failed to notify me right away (sending an email from a personal account 2 days after the order was placed 1 day before pickup is not a proper way of communicating especially when they knew what the cake for for). Because of the high prices I expected much better and way more effortless service, sadly not even the owner has a care or understanding of customer service, managing up or down doesn't solve a problem. I dont really care that your system had a glich if you would have taken proper action it could have been resolved. Hopefully I will be able to find a cake that will work for my mom. If you are reading this and are thinking about using this business for something important like a mile stone birthday please think about it again as this business doesn't communicate very well, the only way of communication is an email from a private individual that most email accounts will place into the span folder, clearly this an issue as the store employee told me it was most likely in my spam folder. I am still waiting for my refund.

Ower is full of lies in her response, nice way to cover up and blame someone else Thankfully the conversations happened while I was driving so they are recorded on my dashcam. As far as they email correspondence (and the phone conversation) sadly it can't be posted on here to show that the owner is full of lies. My reaction was very mild, they ruined MY MOMS birday celebration. The email came from a personal email and it went to my spam two days later and not the day of the order, why not reach out to me the day I placed the order by phone since your computer system had an issue. Anyways I just wanted to warn people of the possibility of your system having a fault and you not being very proactive in getting in touch with your customers. I didn't want a free cake I wanted a specific cake that you didn't have but you took my money for and were hoping that I would take any cake the day of because you knew what situation you put me in. ...

I had never been here before but the bakery I normally use didn't think that it was capable of doing a custom cake with all the intricate details I was looking for. So I googled "best custom cakes in Louisville" and Bae's was one of the bakeries listed. I contacted them and they agreed to do it and after some conversations back and forth, we decided on the flavors and design.

I was concerned because they wanted to use an '"edible image backed on fondant" because it was such a detailed and unusual design. I was skeptical but agreed because all the sample cakes I had seen on their website looked so good. From a taste standpoint though, my thoughts on a cake with an "edible image" on "fondant" were not hopeful to say the least. But I agreed because they seemed so knowledgeable.

I picked up the cake the afternoon of the party and WOW, it looked incredible! They designed it exactly how I had envisioned it (even though I wasn't even sure of what that vision was?). It was colorful, it was detailed, it was perfect! At that point I thought "well at least it will look good even if it doesn't taste great". That night at the party we cut into the cake (multi-layered tuxedo cake) and the inside also looked incredible - layers of chocolate and vanilla cake, along with buttercream frosting.

Let me tell you that this was seriously one of the freshest, best tasting cakes I had ever tried. It tasted like homemade. I had thought that because of the fondant and all the food coloring they had to use, it would taste like dye. I was wrong. I had two slices and woke up the next morning with my first thought being that I needed another slice for breakfast. This cake was everything I could have asked for and more.

Additionally, the customer service was top-notch. The cake was a bit pricey compared to other bakeries, but it was worth every penny! Thank you Abigail and everyone at...
