Been wanting to check this place out and I was finally in the area so I stopped by. I came in around 2:00, an hour before closing. Instructions on ordering were pretty straight forward. The cashier was nice and friendly, asked me if I had been in before and welcomed me when I said I hadn't. I ordered the Belly Board with bacon, grits, and a side of the mornay gravy. My food came out relatively fast and looked absolutely incredible. I fashioned my own version of biscuits and gravy and dug in. It all tasted great. Loved the biscuit. Gravy tasted amazing and those grits were cooked to absolute perfection. Minor complaint was that my food could have been hotter. Now on to reasoning for 3 stars rather than my originally planned 4 stars. I arrived an hour before closing but noted when I sat down that they had started cleaning the dining area and prepping for closing. Since there were only about 7-8 diners I can understand why and didn't have a problem with it. My issue was that while I was still eating and time was 2:28 (I checked) the person sweeping the dining area decided to come over and sweep under my table and at my feet. I was not happy. I'm okay with someone cleaning around me. I'm not okay with being made to feel like I need to hurry up and leave when they're still open for another 30 minutes. I might give another location a chance but not too keen to return to this one.

Ah! Almost bothered the place is SO GREAT! I went in for my very first time. There was a line but no big deal, actually 95% this is a good sign. People go and wait because it is worth it. I ordered their most popular based on the screens, it was AMAZING. So glad I only ordered one, I thought like other places I'd eat two or three biscuit sandwiches. No way, one was more than enough. ❤❤❤❤❤ the server got to my target table before I did. That fast. I ordered ad by the time I filled up my soda glass, my sandwich was waiting for me to decide which table I'd take. Cleanliness and ambiance of the place is superb. A place you can love, I'd sit there and people entree watch for hours, but it gets so packed that the human thing to do is eat and soak it in for a bit but leave promptly. Location in st Mathews is perfect. Staff team is amazing!!! And by all means if you order more than what you can eat, they are ready with boxes for you to take it home for "the dawg" yeah, we know who that is 😜🤟 . Reheat a few minutes and enjoy a mid afternoon amazing food again. Appetizers, entrees, desserts..I have so many pending things to try. Will be coming in frequently. Expect more item pics soon.

Update: knocked this rating down from a 4 to a 2 bc the food made me sick and 11 hours of vomiting. Ate the 3 gravies plate yesterday, but not yet the Bonuts or Brekkie bowl (got to go). Hot liquid in styrofoam containers introduced toxic chemicals into my system that left me vomiting and nauseous and unable to eat anything else all day yesterday. I will not be back for toxic, half decent, overpriced food. OP: I gave 4 stars on the whole but the environment inside is drafty chilly, loud music, competing lights, too much sensory overload, so I got my food to go. Which was great bc there's almost no parking and CVS tows people who park there. I ordered Bonuts with frosting (okay), Brekkie bowl (good) and 3 gravies plate. The gravy in the top left corner was like hot whiskey (gross) but the other two were delicious! Why are restaurants still putting hot liquids into styrofoam containers in 2024?? Toxic. The donuts were too small and hard and dry and not something I will order again.

Before I get into a food review I want to say all of the staff seemed friendly. A customer helped herself to a to-go coffee cup while the lady at the counter was turned around, got her drink and left before the lady turned back around to the register. Definitely not okay. Our order consisted of one G.O.A.T. biscuit with bacon, one boozy bird with sausage, one drink and one order of loaded tots. $33.71. I've made and tried so many different kinds of biscuits in my culinary career and I was so excited to try this place on our vacation. The great reviews pulled me in. The entire order lacked any flavor. The biscuits alone tasted bland and similar to grands or the bagged biscuit mix from the super market. They needed more salt, buttermilk and TLC. The texture was crumbly which isn't great when trying to eat a sandwich. The goat cheese and bacon were the highlight of my breakfast. The chicken was bland, dry and just boring. It tasted like they took it off the Sysco truck dropped it in flour and fried. No seasonings anywhere in sight. My boyfriend took a bite and said if it wasn't so expensive he wouldn't have finished it because it was just bland, dry and not good. The syrup was somehow bland and the only thing that added moisture to his sandwich. The sausage was a link and a half. The sodas were okay we settled on root beer. Lastly, the Loaded tater tots. They were bland. I was so disappointed. We opened four of them to find no seasonings, two of them were empty with just potatoes, and we didn't eat them. I can not recommend this restaurant for...

We have always enjoyed Biscuit Belly in person and through delivery. However today we had a horrible experience and will never return. I sat down while my husband ordered. I am a few weeks post op from major surgery and needed to come in and sit down. I was told I could not sit until I had ordered and that I had to give up my table- which I had cleaned. The manager, Grace, was pleased to give me a lesson in fast casual dining. Apparently, this type of dining experience is different from the fast casual dining at Jason’s Deli or McAllisters, etc. The difference is they value their customers. I was told that I had to get up, but that after we bought food and either had to eat outside or waste it she would make sure my party had a table. I wonder if she said the same to the couple sitting on the patio in 40 degree weather?!?!? However, there was a 10 top table with 2 people at it with no food and that was acceptable. All of this AFTER we were asked for money by a man panhandling at the door. Horrible experience! Awful! It’s even worse that we had 2 other people with us that were going to try Biscuit Belly for the first time. Maybe next time express appreciation for your customers. Is this how the Colonial Gardens location treated their customers before they closed? Anyone associated with Biscuit Belly should be ashamed and embarrassed that their customer are...
