We were on our lunch break. We visited around 2 o'clock thinking it would not be as busy. It was busier than usual but not packed. We were finally seated but then not waited on for at least 15 minutes. A lady took our drink order only because she wasn't a server, she stated. She brought us small glasses. Another lady finally came over to take our food order. She did apologize. She said their dishwasher was on the fritz, but it just got fixed. Their cooking unit must have been broken to because it took forever and a day it seemed like to receive our food order. When our food finally was served, they didn't bring silver ware. I asked another waitress to bring some to us, although she acted like it was beneath her to wait on someone else's table she said she'd be right back with utensils. She disappeared and we never saw her again. I went to the entrance to the kitchen and no one acknowledged me until a server said ooh our dishwasher is broken, finally another server brought me some at the hostess counter when I went back there to possibly talk to someone with sense š and or get plastic take out utensils. By that time, our hour lunch is almost over. Finally, sit down, food not as warm, chicken was burnt. Such a disappointment. She offered to get us a new order when she finally came back to give me a receipt. No drink refills, small glasses, we were parched and still hungry, but We have to get back to work. We just eat our vegetables and mashed potatoes that were all good. We tried to pay at the table with the qr code but didn't work. Their was a couple in front of us to pay at the counter. They were complaining about their lunch. There were 3 employees that stood there not doing anything while waiting on the manager. When we were finally paying our bill, the 3 employees were talking amongst themselves, saying they weren't hand washing any dish. That's not in their job description. They never asked about our lunch experience. Didn't say thank you, come again, just kept talking to each other like they weren't at work. Awful...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis place has really gone downhill. EVERY TIME I get a ācurbsideā order, I end up going inside because they forget something. I had the worst experience last time, so much so I called and complained. They gave me a replacement meal and when I went to get it the week after they claimed to have not found my name In the book and then they found it and then they didnāt find it again. I had to jump through several hoops just to get my replacement meal, which was wrong again btw. Gave them another chance today and Iām done. Had to wait 30 mins past the time their app told me my food would be done. They of course forgot my biscuits and syrup. I called several times and couldnāt get through to anyone. So yet again I have to go in. This time I am sick so I really didnāt want to go in and spread my germs, which may or may not be covid. But my hands were tied. It took the manager another 10 minutes to go grab some biscuits and syrup. I expressed my aggravation to him and he could care less. By the expression on his face my words were going in one ear and right out the other. By the time I get home, all my food is cold. Not to mention the time in between I went in to eat and the service was horrendous. Waited 20 mins before they took our order. And didnāt get our drinks until the food came out. My dads ham was like leather, my mother in laws meatloaf looked like road kill and by the time the waitress got the cream for the coffee, it was cold. Cracker Barrel is not cheap. I am so done with them. If I want good country cooking I will just go to Christiās...

I don't know if she was inexperienced or just lazy but when she brought out our drinks and food she basically sat it in the middle of the table for us to get ourselves. My dad's and my sides were mixed up which was an easy fix but I ordered a steak medium (and yes I should have known better than to order a steak from Cracker Barrel) and when it came out it was BURNT!!! Not just a little. Like totally charred. It was quite obvious and if she had been paying any attention would have not even brought it to the table. And I do get the stress and anxiety of because a server because that is what I do for a living but someone on their first night would have realized this. I stopped the manager because I couldn't find the server and she said she would take care of it but it was still on the bill when our server brought it out. She had no idea. The manager said she told her but she was absolutely clueless. Anyway even with the bad service I still wouldn't go back the food just isn't what it used to be. I ordered fruit as a side and there was 2 pieces of pineapple and 5 halves of strawberries not even filling the tiny bowl halfway. No one was friendly it just wasn't what I was hoping for. Luckily I was with my family and that made it all worth it. Family can make any bad situation better....
