King Donuts — Restaurant in Louisville

I'm updating my review to add how much I love this place ! Incredible customer service, like above and beyond, kind and compassionate.

I stopped last Wednesday to get donuts for my family, as my grandpa was at home on hospice,passing away, and we were all gathered to support each other. The gentleman at the counter probably got more than he bargained for when he asked me how I was that morning. He was kind and compassionate and also threw in some free donut holes for the family, in addition to the dozen donuts I bought. He totally didn't have to do that, and he even said " I know it's not much ,but..". Seriously?!! What a kind freaking gesture !! He didn't rush out conversation or make me feel irrelevant. It was so appreciated and sincere. Fast forward to today, I went in for a Thai Iced Tea( which is amazing, as always, by the way) and the same young man remembered me and asked me how I was holding up. What ??? Honestly customer service and kindness like that is rare these days. It just really made my day and I think this establishment needs to be patted on the back for their amazing products and especially their kindness and customer service !! I know you may think " it's not much" but your kindness has impacted me and helped me in one of the darkest times of my life. Thank you.

Love this place. Their thai sweet tea is amazing and their customer service...

UPDATE; King Donuts is dirty and continuously having flies flying on their donuts. but also the kid employee that works here doesn't wash his hands after playing with his phone, touches money, cash register and credit card then touches customer donuts. They sell old donuts from the day before "mines and my wife stomach hurts".We will never ever ever come back to this location again,...

Never have I ever had such soft and fresh donuts!!! WOW!! I tried it just because I was close and dang it's a true gem!! Definitely try it, the price is amazing and they can fill the donuts with fillings right then n there... I'm for sure going to try a raspberry filled long-john next time just for fun-zies :) less than 20 for a dozen and the ladies that run it are sooo sweet...
