I have been a loyal customer for years. When El Nopal opened across the street, I was worried. But my little El Tarasco was still the best and I was loyal to them. However , my last 3 visits have not been up to standard. First time, they left out my little have cup of queso. No big deal, but when I called to say hey you left this out, can I just get it next time, I was told if I wanted it, to come back NOW. Hmmm. Next time my fajitas no peppers, had peppers. Yuck. Tonight, I ordered by phone. Chicken quesadilla fajita grande, no peppers. 3 times I had to say quesadilla. 3 times. Pick the order up, questioned the price, and was told I ordered chicken fajitas. Having worked a 12 hour day, I was starving. When I said, that's not what I ordered, I was told...but your order is ready. You'll have to wait to refix. It's fine. I'll take it, but still charged me full price. Get home, and there are no tortillas. Called to complain and again was told ....just come back and get them. REALLY???? So I can do that but my food will be cold. Well, okay on your next order we will take 15% off. So you give me the wrong food I take it You then don't give me a complete order And you are going to take 2.50 off my next order. Been going there for at least 8 years maybe 10. Guess it's time to try El Nopal.
Not really the way to treat a...
Read moreUpdate 11-01-2022: Despite having lost my best friend/sister, I decided to act as if she were still with me, today. So I forced myself to give a three strikes place a fourth chance, unheard of from me. I am light weight grateful that I did. They seem to have taken a turn and seem to be coming back to quality. Definitely something that I had hoped for. I used to eat here all of the time. Still a ways to go, to be back on par with what you were, let's hope you persevere and exceed your prior quality! *great addition to your staff!
Definitely has gone downhill in quality not sure how I feel about that right now.
Update 2: The pork has dropped in quality a lot. They will charge you for extra onions but you don't get them, twice now. I don't think I'll be going back again, for a while. I'll give them one more chance in a few months and if it's still bad, they will be off my list.
Update: A little strange for here, my dinner order didn't come with lettuce and tomato, like it usually does. Found out, they changed the menu. If a person would like the lettuce and tomato, they will gladly bring it out to you. If they can save some of their costs, so it isn't passed on to us, I'm all good with that! Still 5 stars for taste and...
Read moreI've eaten here for years and drive a long way just because I like one dish so much. But unless you're part of the cool crew of regulars they will act like you don't exist. I'm sitting at a table today with an empty drink, empty salsa, empty chips, and my wife's nachos meal is so watery that the nachos are mush and there's no cheese. Nobody ever came by, which is par for the course and I'm over it. If it was a one time thing that's understandable, but this is a pattern. They chat it up and are literally rubbing the backs of someone at another table while we're invisible. If my bill was invisible like me, that would be okay, but they can see us when it's time to pay. It's literally the only time they come back to our table, when they see we're done and have a bill for us. I normally tip 20-25% and I have a long time affinity for this place but I'm tired of watching them sit and chat with their friends or gossip about people at other tables for 20-30 minutes while we're hoping to get...
