So let me drop and review and set the record straight about Fun Tea—because it’s hands down the best boba spot in Louisville, period. I’m here three to four times a week (literally standing in here right now after work), and I’ve tasted almost the entire menu. Amy, the owner, is a gem—sweet, hardworking, and so caring towards her staff. The energy in here is always good vibes, with her team smiling and clearly loving their jobs. Amy, the owner, is one of the kindest, most dedicated individuals I’ve ever met. She goes out of her way to ensure her customers are happy and her staff is treated with care and respect—something that’s clear every time I step in and see how cheerful and motivated her team is. There’s no fear or drama—just good people making incredible boba.
Now let’s talk about the boba: fresh every single time. Amy cooks it every few hours to make sure it’s perfect, and if it doesn’t meet her high standards, she tosses it. That’s the level of care she puts into everything. The flavors are creative and fire—seriously, who’s coming up with combos like this? And yeah, it’s Louisville, so she caters to her audience with a few fun twists, but her tiger sugar boba? Elite.
And for the record, Fun Tea doesn’t even claim to be a food spot. It’s a boba shop that also serves cute snacks like bubble cakes. If you’re looking for a sit-down Taiwanese meal, that’s not what this is, and that’s fine because they excel at what they do. Honestly, if you don’t get it, you’re missing out. This is the spot for fresh, creative, and damn good boba, made by someone who pours her heart into her business.
Now Mr. Skanky Toast (because that name says it all),
Let’s keep it real: your review is so off-base it’s almost funny. First, you said the boba wasn’t fresh? That’s a bold-faced lie. Amy cooks her boba every few hours—this woman does not play about quality. If you’re tasting anything stale, maybe it’s your palate, not the boba.
Second, claiming she doesn’t know how to make Taiwanese food is wild. You know why? She doesn’t serve food. Fun Tea specializes in boba and light snacks like bubble cakes, which are fun, delicious, and exactly what they’re advertised to be. If you came here expecting a full Taiwanese dinner, that’s on you, not her.
And the staff being scared of Amy? Now I know you’ve never stepped foot in this shop. Amy is one of the sweetest, most supportive people you’ll ever meet, and her team clearly loves working with her. Every time I come in, they’re happy, joking around, and providing top-notch service. There’s zero fear here—just a hardworking crew doing their thing.
If Fun Tea isn’t your vibe, that’s cool. But don’t post false and malicious reviews just because you’re mad at the world. Keep it pushing and let the rest of us enjoy our fresh, creative, and always...
Read more4/11/2024 I recently visited your establishment and unfortunately had a disappointing experience.Despite being a repeat customer who has consistently spent my hard-earned money at your establishment, my last visit left much to be desired.I encountered a situation where the color of my drink appeared drastically different from what I had previously received when ordering the same item. When I politely inquired about the discrepancy, the staff member assured me that the beverage was correct but proceeded to insist that I had ordered incorrectly. This response felt rude and dismissive, particularly considering my history of ordering the same drink. What made the experience even more uncomfortable was overhearing the staff member discussing my inquiry with her colleagues in a disparaging manner. This lack of professionalism left me feeling hurt and disheartened. I believe that this situation could have been handled more effectively with a simple acknowledgment of the possibility of variations in preparation methods or staffing changes. A respectful response such as, "Yes, ma'am, it is the right drink. It may look different as other people make it, and we may have new staff," would have sufficed to address my concerns. Additionally, I will not be back & would no longer recommend the establishment to others I may know.
Note: my drink was supposed to be purple it was a foggy pale brown color I used to get this drink every week mind you
I don’t care about being right as a whole it could have been handled differently instead of blaming me as stated before I’ve bought this same drink plenty of times

Read moreWell, I think I've gone here enough times to finally write a glowing review! I've been drinking boba tea for a very long time and have wished for the longest time that we got some great dedicated spots in Louisville. Typically boba tea offered in restaurants aren't any good and feels like an after thought. It took many years we finally have 3 spots in this city!
Fun Tea is the latest to join our city and they offer not just boba but delicious bubble cake. What exactly is it? can best describe it as an incredible ice cream taco stuffed to the extreme. It's like 2 desserts in 1. Like a bonus! Typically l eat it with a spoon until it's a manageable size and then pick it up and eat it like a taco! That way you get all the flavors and that awesome bubble cake all in one bite. My wife says got a big mouth but it serves me well here and won't get me into any fights. So many combinations I've made it a point to try a new one each time.
Now onto the boba tea! Lots of flavors to choose from and toppings you can throw in. Boba is nice and chewy and for those who know what good boba is...this is good boba. They have a rewards program which is great since visit frequently!
It's nice that this city FINALLY has some boba tea options that aren't just offered at a restaurant. The staff is awesome and always enjoy our conversations. Owners are great and everyone should definitely show them some love by ordering everything because haven't had a bad thing yet....
