Goodfellas — Restaurant in Louisville

Very disappointed with the experience! I like the layout of the restaurant- the bars are neat and I like the fact you can get a slice. However, we went on a Friday night during Pizza Week and it was complete chaos! My husband and I ordered 10 inch pizzas. An hour and half later… my husband gets his pizza but mine is no where to be found. The table sitting next to us (a party) also weree getting tired of waiting. I went up to the check out and asked where my 10 inch was. Nobody seemed to know- I then requested a refund. All of a sudden, my pizza appeared (with another pizza for my husband that he already had!). I asked to please box mine up and the gentlemen behind the counter said to go ahead and box up mine and the extra pizza no charge. Then, nothing. Nobody came to our table and no boxes. My husband had already finished most of his pizza and then went up to the counter. He asked for a refund. Both pizzas were refunded. After almost 2 hours, I left with nothing. We even spent money at the bar on wine and beer while waiting. Unacceptable! I worked in food services when I was high school and college. I know how challenging it can be. It’s hard to point fingers but honestly it boils down to lack of management. There was “no order” to what was going on. Honestly, if you come in for a slice and a beer, you’re good to go. If you want to order a pie or such, go someplace else. We will not be returning which is a shame because it could be a cool place if it was...

Well im happy to be writing a five star review of this place! This was my first visit with my husband who is also leaving a review. The food was fantastic and the drinks (alcohol as well as soda and water) were premium. Everything was reasonably priced for the quality and quantity. When we first started the night I was worried, we waited a very long time for food while others got served and there seemed to be a lack of communication from the front staff to management. We were ready for a refund and to leave without food but couldn't get anyone to tell us exactly who the management was so I could get that. But then, a very nice bartender lady from one of the two bars asked me if she could help, she immediately got me a manager and the visit turned entirely around, we got stellar service and they more than made up for the mistakes in the beginning and made sure to actually address the issue with staff to fix the issue and not just make us as the customer happy. They are striving to make the business better every chance they get and were genuinely apologetic that anything went wrong to begin with. I will be back and will definitely refer it to other people too. If you ever have a mishap while there Chip is the guy to go to. I can't give a review on the food service or atmosphere as I have never been to this restaurant. However I was excited to make a reservation for a party of 8 to 10 adults for a birthday party but they only reserve a room not tables. Now here's where it gets a little tricky. They reserve a room for $100 but they do not provide any type of table service whatsoever. But they do add an 18% gratuity on your order if they consider it a large order. I am not sure what justifies collecting a gratuity of 18% if I order three pizzas or i order eight pizzas because you would think they would just be glad to get the business because they're already collecting the money for the said pizzas and they're not providing any said service so therefore there is no gratuity need it. If you look up the definition of gratuity it clearly states a tip for a service given or a donation. This place just lost my business which I've never attended but I cannot responsibly visit a place that has these type of practices in place. Nor do I see them lasting long as they've already had several hiccups along the way trying to open and it looks like they're going to have several more hiccups if they continue in this fashion.
