I don't know why one of the employees was coping an attitude and being cranky for while I was picking up an UberEATS delivery for "Clay" he said: "cancel it" while I was picking it up his tone was like(and I'm paraphrasing) 'here!! take it I'm done dealing with this order' I'm like why would you tell me to cancel an order after I successfully picked it up? that doesn't make any sense to me smh his linguistics was incorrect and it's inexcusable for his behavior even if he was frustrated from his interaction with me. I'm assuming either: 1)Clay's order was being hot potatoed from one delivery courier to another and when each delivery courier showed up to come pick it up asking for Clay it wasn't in their system whatsoever so in layman's terms there was a technical glitch on the restaurants end or on the food delivery apps end? or 2)The employee's Latin American/Central American accent was a little thick for me to understand during the entire interaction? to be honest I didn't understood what he was saying at all(don't worry I am not one of those Karen's who want every immigrant migrant and refugee to speak English when they come to America trust me) there was a lost in translation on his end I couldn't tell whether he was talking to me or talking to someone else while I was indicating that I was here to pick up a UberEATS delivery order named Clay, so one of those two hypothesis' might explain that employee's attitude while I was trying to pick up Clay's...
Read moreWarming: the drive through window is on the wrong side of the car. Just be ready to deal with that. I have been an enthusiastic patron for over 20 years. The fact that it has occupied such a desirable location for that period and a string of previous residents couldn't make it should say something. I guess that what i really want people to understand is that this place isn't just for your 2am burrito run when you're coming hime from the bar (although it fulfills that role perfectly). You can actually go there all through the day and it's open and the food is still delicious. The food is freshly made right before you and never disappoints. As a vegetarian, i would say go ahead and get avocado added to whatever you're eating; they don't scrimp. The vegetarian food can be on the bland side, but they have three options for salsa so you can flavor it to your specifications. Also, if you like hot stuff, get a side of the pickled jalapenos and carrots. They're divine. Be careful when biting into them, as they squirt. My sole complaint is they don't serve beer, but they have Jaritos and Horchata, which pair well with their fare, so that's an academic concern that has never actually intruded onto my experience. So you should go here....
Read moreAlright I'm going to start off by saying I'm not from Louisville but I do spend a lot of time in the Highlands. I've driven past this place so many times (if I had a dollar for every time I'd be rich) it's not funny, I never even thought about stopping in before! I originally ordered Taco Bell on Doordash but they were "out of tortillas and redsauce" for my order. I looked around and saw La Bamba was available on Uber-eats and decided to give it a shot since I wanted tacos! DEAR GOD these are the best tacos I've had in a long time, add some of their thick red or spicy red sauces to them and BOOM you're in heaven! I will never go anywhere else on Bardstown for tacos again! 10/10 will eat again
EDIT ordered food 2 nights in a row. The regular tacos are NOT the same as they used to be. Very disappointing. After their remodel it’s like they completely forgot how to make tacos and Mexican food in general. Service is lack luster. Literally I got a soft taco shell FULL OF BEANS WHEN I ORDERED A TAMALE. 3/10. The chips and cheese is good, that’s about it. Honestly just go...
