KFC — Restaurant in Louisville

Hello, my name is Andrew I have been the cook at this establishment for 5 months now and I have just read all of the reviews. This perticular KFC is understaffed and when we get new people some never show up for work or just do the online portion of there work and just collect there check.

In the last 5 months I have seen about 8 people leave; 2 of them were managers. Now regarding the chicken shortages and long waits in line, most people who come to this KFC want big orders I'm talking 16 pc meals every 20mins give or take.

There is never a grace period here, the moment I walk though the door I don't stop working. And to top it off we dont leave out the store until midnight on avrage. I have been in the store at 2am cleaning at one point, On avrage I will mostly drop a 8 head (4 bags) each bag contains 16 pc.

It is gone before I have a chance to take it to our hot boxs and to top it all off it take me about 10 mins to prepare and 15mins to cook. so you can see why your seeing the bad reviews on time but really you should be blameing the person in front of u in the drive threw.

As of now we have 3 cooks and some managers will cook as will even so the reason we are haveing problems keeping up with the demand is because on avrage there is 4-5 people working at a time. So not only do I have to make it, drop it then take it up i alone keep up with:

Wedeges, strips, wings, zingers, and popcorn often when my staff see i am busy they drop it for me. Sundays are the bane of my existence, we always get the church croud along with carry out orders so trying to maintain the stores chicken on top of thoes become a very challenging endeavor.

It is literally a never ending struggle to keep food up, on top of this I have to polish the 3 friers we have available mid day if I want any hope of leaving on time (11:30pm). I guess the point of this rant is not everything is simple at KFC we make meals the hard way. Would not recommend. Went in and stood for ten minutes before leaving. Two different employees came to the counter, both two different times, and neither ever said anything to us. One even came to the counter to correct an order on a drive thru mistake. The drive thru operator made eye contact, but didn't bother to say anything to whoever was supposed to be taking orders in the restaurant. One lady appeared to be waiting on food and had been standing there before we even entered the restaurant and was still standing there when we left. When we finally decided to go to Raising Canes' instead because we had yet to even be acknowledged, we noticed a car in the drive thru with a pizza hut sign on top. He was two cars back from the window when we left. We made it to Raising Canes', ordered and received our food, and by the time we passed the KFC again the pizza hut car had just made it to the window. We live just down the road, but next time we want KFC we'll be going out of our way instead of...

This place has the absolute worst service that I have ever seen anywhere. I was the second car at the drive-thru speaker. From the time I pulled in to the time they took my order was 20 minutes. There was one car ahead of me and one at the window. Once I placed my order it took another 10 minutes to get my food. I asked for a family bucket to be all dark meat he told me no substitutions that if I wanted a place that kind of order I had to call in ahead of time and that there would be an additional wait I explained to him I had already been waiting 15 minutes.
