I stumbled upon Louie’s from a Facebook video and I saw that it was just down the street from my work, so I thought I HAD to check it out! The location is very tiny, but upon pulling in you see their smoker and you immediately think they’re doing it right. When I walked inside I noted that the place was decorated very nice and hip, I LOVED the skyline made out of wood. Very nice touch. I decided to order the three tenders medium, with potato salad, cole slaw, and two sauces - honey mustard and Louie’s sauce. I also ordered a drink (THEY HAVE RED CREAM SODA!!) all to go. When I got back to work and opened the box the food smelled amazing and looked great. I started sampling the sides. The cole slaw was perfect, not too wet and thankfully not dry. It’s excellent. The red skin potato salad was equally as tasty! Definitely good side choices. The honey mustard sauce is average, but compliments the chicken. I don’t know what’s in the Louie’s sauce, but whatever it is, it’s liquid gold. Now for the chicken - the flavor was wonderful! Had the right amount of kick to it for a medium flavor, and the overall taste was great for a lunch! For dinner I’d love to try something spicier! It was topped off with the perfect pickle and slice of bread. I’ll 100% be back to Louie’s. Overall the restaurant was amazing! And Id love to see that hole in a wall thrive!!! Also, shoutout to the guy in the kitchen that was singing and dancing, he really gave it a...
Read moreHere is my super honest review. I've been a huge fan of Louie's for years now to the point of eating here 3 times a month or so since it's close to my work. The food is definitely not what it used to be 3 years ago. It's a shame because I really love this place. Joella's has nothing on this spice!
I understand there is a chicken and staff shortage during pandemic times. instead of a full cob you now get a half. I'm fine with the prices going up 30% The chicken is definitely lower quality but it's probably the only thing they can get. local business struggle to absorb higher meat cost they must pass this on.
I don't eat here like I used to. Occasionally it can be a gamble if my corn is going to be undercooked or the chicken is going to be super dry crunchy bits of bird or not seasoned right (two orders this past year just gave me plain tenders when I ordered Hot). Screw ups happen but I am not sure if they have a new cooking staff or it could just be the dinner rush because I know this place is a lot busier now they frequently sell out of food. Maybe it's just that more people have found this gem. Regardless you rarely if ever have to wait more than 15 minutes for your order.
This feels like a 3/5 but I'm upping it to 4/5 stars for the super friendly staff. They always have the best customer service and greet me with a smile. And the desert is amazing! Deep fried Oreos and Banana A+👌
I hope to update this to 5/5...

This spot was recommended by a foodie friend, so I had to try it.
Honestly, I wasn't expecting the small hut-like restaurant. It was a seemingly nice day, so some other customers planned to sit outside. However, once they sat outside, they realized it was too windy, so they moved back inside to 2 of the 8 seats (4 other seats were already occupied). The outside seating would be ideal during a fair weather day.
Be forewarned, this is not "fast food"! Considering we ordered chicken, we waited over 30 minutes for our food. It was hot and fresh, so it was worth the wait. Other customers came in after us, ordered burgers, and got their meals in a shorter period. So, choose wisely if you're hungry hungry!
The food. Our party of 4 ordered no-spice tenders, hot tenders, dark chicken, and white chicken. For the sides, we ordered mac n cheese, fries, green beans, and potato salad.
My nephew, who loves extra spicy foods, thought his hot chicken tenders were too hot. But my hot chicken was just right and flavorful, although it was a bit salty. The green beans were a bit salty, too. The fries were hot and fresh. The mac n cheese was nice, creamy, and delicious. I did not have any of the potato salad, but my mother stated that the potatoes were a bit undercooked.
Overall, the food was good and the prices were reasonable. I'd try it again if I'm...
