Smore Story time. Back during the pandemic, I was caregiving for my son and feeling very sad, isolated and worried about his health. My beautiful friend Rhonda and her husband showed up one day at my house with Smor pastries because they knew we loved them so much. I opened the box to see one of these beautiful brioche rolls with goat cheese and apricot. I sat down to eat it, took a bite, and I wept. Not just because it was delicious, and was beautifully so. Crafted with care, pride, I'm going to even say love. Mostly I wept because it was comfort from a friend who listened to me so carefully that she knew what I loved and brought it to me at the perfect time. Sadly I lost this loving friend during the pandemic. This memory though, I'll never lose. And every time I taste goat cheese and apricot, I remember this day. So, thank you Smor for making the most beautiful comfort food I know. Food...
Read morePhenomenal all the way around, I love the dedication to the authenticity of the culture and food. You are greeted with great friendly and kind service and they have no problem giving you the rundown on what they have with out making you feel pressured or like it's a sales pitch. Walking in a looking around you feel like you walked into a small town family run buisness/bakery that you would have walked into in Scandinavia. The food is fantastic and they do a great job of less is more. It's not super sweet or super dry. Everything is well balanced and the different berry filling used taste like they were grown in the back yard, picked and baked that day. Will definitely be back and I highly recommend, make a day and go to the zoo just down the street with the family after and I promise you won't be...
Read moreI've had a great experience in my two times of coming here. It's a very relaxing place to be- think a chill café vibe. There's a nice dining in area with lots of cute decorations, big windows, plants, and moomin playing on TV. Fisher was so helpful and sweet every time I've come, and even recognized me after a couple weeks when I returned. There are lots of good selection, and they have some good imported oddities in their freezer. If you're a little timid, I would personally recommend something like the cardamom bun to start with (the photo with the tea.) The lingonberry bun from the other pic is also fantastic- everything I've had here has been. I couldn't recommend this place enough. They really put in a great effort to make you feel safe, comfortable, and...
