Pickle and Buns — Restaurant in Louisville

The owners are super nice people and the angus burger and cole slaw I had were both very good. I'm pretty picky about cole slaw (my wife will verify) and I'd definitely eat theirs again. I'm sure the rest of the food is wonderful as well...the owners told me they both had a background in food service...and that checks out with my experience.

Besides the food being good, you can also tell they have a desire to serve and they're very sociable. I didn't even realize they weren't even opened yet when I placed my order...they were still getting set up for their day (they opened at 4pm the day I was there)...and it was at least 15 minutes before that when they took my order. I'd have been happy to wait for them to open if they'd asked me too, but they never brought it up and I just happened to notice their hours posted outside the order window after they had taken my order.

Lastly, they're nestled right up against the Goodbounce Pickleball Yard, so the atmosphere is excellent. What a wonderful view of the river overlooking a swimming pool area, it feels more like a beach front vacation resort than a Southern/Midwestern restaurant.

Rating 4/5. Stooped by after swimming to grab a burger and fries with the kids. They’re located in a small apartment community on the river . They have corn hole and pickle ball courts available . I also believe u can buy a pass for the pool next to it but I haven’t double checked.

We ordered two double burgers and a single, we got two orders of fries and fried pickles . We also ordered a water and two fresh lemonades . The price was competitive if not cheaper than I expected and everything was made to order.

The burgers were delicious . Well sized and flavored . They definitely hit the spot and left a great first impression . The fries were good and seasoned. My kids thought the fried pickles were perfect and almost talked me into ordering more . My favorite part may have been the lemonade . It tasted like fresh squeezed lemons with a perfect balance of sugar and water mixed in . Definitely hit the spot on a hot day.

My only caveat is the wait time. I’m patient when it comes to my food but you know kids aren’t lol but it’s made fresh and worth the wait . They also have an inside lounge to sit in and chill out if needed. I’ll definitely...
