I usually don’t write Google reviews, but my recent visit to this place was so disappointing that I feel compelled to warn others. Their website is incredibly misleading. I went with a group of 9 people, and we used two separate lanes for 1 hour of bowling. According to their website, the group rate is supposed to be cheaper than paying individually. However, what they don’t mention is that if your group has 6 or more people, they automatically add a 20% gratuity to your bowling time.

For individual payments, it’s $20 per person. But with a group of 6 or more, it becomes $22 per person, despite being advertised as a cheaper option. Based on the website, we expected to pay $17 per person for the group rate. This hidden charge ended up adding $32 to our total for “gratuity,” which was unexpected and frustrating.

To make matters worse, they claimed that a server would take our drink orders, but no one ever did. When my husband approached the staff and asked to speak to a manager, the bartender dismissed his request, stating that the gratuity goes toward lane upkeep. If that’s the case, they should be upfront about it and adjust their pricing accordingly. It’s unacceptable to mislead customers by advertising a cheaper group rate that doesn’t actually exist.

The bowling itself was fun, and the atmosphere was great, but the lack of transparency and poor customer service left a bad taste. Sadly, we won’t be returning, despite the enjoyable bowling experience. The refusal to fix our bill and the dismissive attitude from the bartender were incredibly...

Vernon Lanes is a bowling alley that has been a staple of the Vernon community for many years. Having recently visited the establishment, I can confidently say that it offers an outstanding experience for bowlers of all levels.

Firstly, the facility itself is top-notch. The lanes are impeccably maintained and provide a smooth surface for bowling, which is crucial for any serious bowler. The scoring system is also very modern and easy to use, which makes keeping score a breeze. Additionally, the facility offers ample seating for both bowlers and spectators, ensuring that everyone can comfortably enjoy the game.

Furthermore, the staff at Vernon Lanes are incredibly friendly and helpful. They are always available to assist with any questions or concerns that you may have, and they do so with a genuine smile on their faces. This type of service is rare in today's world, and it makes a significant difference in the overall experience of visiting Vernon Lanes.

Lastly, the prices at Vernon Lanes are very reasonable, making it an accessible and affordable option for families and groups of friends. Overall, I highly recommend Vernon Lanes to anyone looking for a fun and enjoyable activity in the Vernon area. With its excellent facilities, friendly staff, and affordable prices, it truly is a gem of a...

This is a pretty cool place, but not a pro bowling alley by any means. The scoring is not automatic so you have to manually count pins and input manually on the iPad-like screen at the lane desk. No pro shop, 8 lanes that are old and the balls get stuck often and dinged up so be careful if you bring your own ball! They don't rent shoes, it runs an average of $15 for an hour of lane, and they have some 5 finger balls to try out too. Bowling aside, if you want a casual place to take a date, this is a really cool spot. There's lots of private nooks to chill in and eat and drink. The menu for food and drinks is amazing and not at all the typical bowling alley fare. It smells great and the speakers thump throughout the whole place. It has the feel of a basement pub with a surprsingly large bar area and is wheelchair accessible (although it's a bit tight). Lots of parking and conveniently located at the base of an on ramp to the interstate. The staff is friendly and after 10pm the price for an hour of bowling goes to $10. Sorry, no glow bowl or special bowling features but they have a small league on Mondays. UPDATE: There’s also a great down stairs area with pool table, a stage, various games, and...

Hillary was THE absolute rudeness staff! We waited 20 minutes to check in, after arriving on time for our reservation for hubby's bday. A gentlemen (non communicative) seemed frustrated and very slow at the check-in and completely discounted we were even there. I then asked Hillary, "is he going to finish checking us in?" She responded abruptly with this, "We are short staffed today, you will have to be patient"! They closed down our lane 20 minutes early. We reserved for 2 hours. Lane 8, our bowling balls kept getting stuck. We didn't even come close to finishing our 2nd game. The food was mediocre, but your staff needs help and training on how to respond respectfully. Checking out was no better. Hillary again, decided she would make it difficult on us, and forced us wait yet again and proceeded to check out a large party that came AFTER I was in line. Rude, rude, rude! I had to step away and let my husband finish, in lieu of responding, not so nicely. I'm sorry to say we will NEVER be back. Oh and the restrooms were disgusting 🫣.

I reserved three bowling lanes for my birthday last month and it was a fantastic experience all around. Before the party: Their reservation system allows you to book up to a month in advance. When I had some questions regarding lane limits and party size, they were more than responsive via email and extremely helpful. The day of the party: Check-in was a breeze and everyone was able to grab their shoes. For parties, you do have to check in with a credit card. (NOTE HERE: One thing I was slightly salty about was the automatic gratuity added for the multiple lane reservation. I'm sure they have their reasons, I was planning to tip overall and I didn't have it removed from my bill, but be aware that this is a practice at this establishment.) You do keep your own score using a digital app embedded into the lanes, but its easy and fun. The lanes itself have a really cool neon retro vibe, and the food and drinks I consumed were really good. Overall a great experience and I will absolutely be returning.

So - I have waited to post; Here’s my honest review; - Bowling; A-, Some balls are cracked. but holy heck the modernization, plus the old timey feel of the lanes is fantastic! - Food; A+, THIS PLACE ROCKS FOR FOOD; Nothing on the menu has ever disappointed, Mains, Apps, Sides, To Go’s; It’s all perfection. - Other Entertainment; A+, there is something for everyone, Pool, Slots, Live Music (time dependent), clean facilities, people who care, and LISTEN. You can’t beat it! The food…..!! Order your meal from them; It’s incredible that a bowling alley has such an awesome menu! - Beverage; More towards the adults, but what a wonderful and insightful cocktail menu for those who partake! - Cleanliness - Overall Impeccable! I will be hosting my 27th Birthday Party here with just a few limited friends, to simply Bowl, have a few, and hangout! Can’t wait to come back, as this will be my 5th time overall! Everyone is superb and I genuinely love the food and care to their staff! Keep GOING! Love, E
