I went to the restaurant as part of Black Eats week. I had looked up the menu on-line and was excited since I saw several things I wanted to try, however when I went to the restaurant the menu was more limited and many of the items I saw on-line were not on the menu or available. I asked about several items since I was indecisive and was told by the restaurant staff that the Nachos were their best selling item so I ordered that. It looked really good, however when I tasted it, it was too bland for my taste buds. I saw cilantro but couldn't really taste it. I wish the ground beef had been seasoned better/more. I like olives but I took some of the olives off because they seemed to drown out the other flavors. I'm not sure if jalapeño peppers were an option as a topper but that would have been a nice touch of heat. I didn't eat too much of my Nacho and opted to get a to go box (knowing I would enjoy it better at home once I could add my own pop of flavor with the avocado dip featured in the pic). I really enjoyed it with the addition of this sauce. The portion size was very generous, although I wish there was more seasoned ground beef on the nacho. The staff were very pleasant. The shared space with the other restaurant was a nice ambience. I would like to go back and try the Philly cheesesteaks which I was told is the number 2 best selling item. Hopefully when I go back some of the other items like Elote will...
Read moreI just heated my burger up and after the first bite I thought I should leave a review! My wife and I have eaten here several times! We first came to have a beer and saw a guy walking some delicious looking nachos to a table.I immediately stopped him and asked what they were. He looked like he was already ready for the question lol! He stood there with the biggest smile on his face introduced himself as Brandon a proud cook at Happy Belly Bistro, and explained to us with great detail what all came on the nachos. I told him he should make a commercial! After that first time we’ve made it a regular thing to come and eat, with some experiences with different workers not exactly being the same. And yesterday my wife I both agree that the love, vibe, and taste of the food doesn’t seem to be 100% the same when he’s not there, although there’s never been a time it was horrible. Yesterday we walked in and were thinking pizza but noticed he was working so went to say hi. He immediately sold my wife on the pork tacos, again giving a mouthwatering description, there was no way to say no!! All in all we give our experiences at happy belly a 4.7 star and a 10 star with Brandon. We can’t wait to meet the owners, he’s said nothing but great things and if he’s stemmed y’all I know...
Read moreThe pictures and website of this place make it look 10x better than it actually is. It is not a great representation of the actually set up. This is not a sit-down restraunt. The 1 person that was working was not polite, did not greet us when we approached the counter. We had to get his attention while he sat there on his phone at the counter (he could clearly see us standing there). After getting our order, a DEAD SPIDER was served on my daughters plate. The one guy working there tried to argue with me, stating, "That's fried kale, not a spider." Although he did make my daughter a new sandwich, before leaving when asked for a refund, tried to argue with me again that it was not a spider that I saw. He did give me a $6 refund from my $100 order... I did not feel this was justified, but I didn't want to continue arguing, so I chose to leave unhappy. We WILL NOT return. I am leaving pictures of the spider attached to this review... I'll let you bw the judge if it's a spider or kale 🤣. Terrible...
