Starbucks — Restaurant in Louisville

Normally, I check which barista is onsite before ordering. If it’s 1 of the 2 lovely hardworking ladies, then it is a go. The other staff are rude, unprofessional, and make terrible drinks. Unfortunately, the Paddock Store Starbucks is closed for renovations, so we made a mobile order on the way to an event and did not get a chance to see who was working at this store. Big mistake. 30 minutes after our order was placed, we still didn't have all of our drinks (qty2). The one we had was so badly made that we tossed it. As we couldn't be late for our event we asked for a refund. We were told that we were being completely inconsiderate because they were busy, and if a customer has to wait an hour for a drink, that's normal, and this is how it works. I was then told to go wait in Krogers customer service line to get a refund. I didn't nor did we drink the 1 coffee we got. In the garbage it went, which is where this...

I know they get overwhelmed with throngs and throngs people. Some take black coffee and others want a specialty drink with twists turns and ups and downs and everyone wants it… when? Right now!! But just as I’ve stated in the last few days …the service is slow. It may be relative to the number of guests waiting, I get that, but THIS Starbucks doesn’t have a drive thru… so per the Starbucks norm… waiting is the name of the game here. And what makes it worse - because of the small rectangular shape, chair and table placement- there is no real place to comfortably wait without standing in someone’s space or face. Go and enjoy your experience…just build in waiting time.

My husband and I go for coffee every Sunday morning. Our favorite spot has been the Starbucks at the paddock. We hang out and get away from the hustle and bustle of life. However, the new renovations have taken almost all of the seating out and replaced it with standing tables barley big enough for a small laptop. There's a new wall which cuts the size down to a small hallway in. The outside furniture has been replaced with plastic chairs that are not inviting.
