Okay, So I never really leave reviews but I could not stop thinking about what I saw here yesterday afternoon. I had stopped by this location on my way home, when I walked in the staff was friendly and greeted me. I wouldn't have necessarily thought anything was wrong at first glance. However, as I was about to place my order, a family which had been there when I walked in came up to the counter with and extremely concerning complaint. A young boy had been going to refill his drink when he noticed, AFTER consuming his fisrt cup and opening it, that the cup was full of ants. The ants were INSIDE the soda machine and this poor kid couldn't see them in the dark coke when he first got it, so he drank the whole thing before he realized. Now to some people, this may just seem like a little extra protein but in reality it drew quite a few concerns for me about the cleanliness of this location. After watching the exchange, I began looking closer to the food and sure enough saw a line of ants marching their way across the counters. There should not be ants inside a soda machine and there should not be ants on the counters around all the food. The amount of ants in his cup, even after he drank it, and the amount of ants on the counter were way more than just a recent infestation and definitely show the people in charge here do not care about cleanliness of their store or the health of their customers. Read moreUsually food is fresh here however today, I ordered number 23 off the drive thru menu. It was supposed to be a hot spicy Italian type sandwich. When I got home and opened the bag with my sandwich, it was not anything like what I ordered. It smelled like tuna fish. I am not sure what it was. I do not eat or like tuna at all. Of course, I couldn't eat the sandwich so I gave it to my granddaughter. It was a 12 inch sandwich and she only managed to eat about 1/5 th . I called the Subway shop and spoke to the manager. I told her what had happened with my order. I asked if she could replace my sandwich. I was told that the only way that could happen was if I brought the incorrect sandwich (which was in the garbage can) and my receipt back to the store. I said you mean I have to dig the remainder of the sandwich from the garbage. She said yes, she has to have both the sandwich and receipt before she can remake my sandwich. So, I decided I was NOT going to get the incorrect sandwich out of the garbage and drive back to her store. I spent $19 dollars and change for the sandwich, chips and a drink. I regret I hung up on her, but only after she said she couldn't help me unless I brought the sandwich from the garbage. I will not return to this Subway store in Valley Station. I feel I should have been offered some other option. She never even apologized for the mistake. Very poor...
Read moreI’ve liked this subway, before today all the workers I’ve chatted with have been nice and friendly. However today I was going shopping and grabbing some food, so I decided to use the app and order for 6:20. I end up getting there at 6:30 after shopping and walk up to the counter. I ask if there was an order for (my name) and a girl there (blonde) says it’s not done yet. I open the app and it says it’s done and I saw a to go bag right behind them. So I go up to the other girl there and ask her while pointing at the bag and showing her the app, if it’s mine. And the other girl (blonde) preceded to say again that it wasn’t done yet. So I sit down and wait. After 5 minutes the blonde girl takes a call and sits down as well. Then 10 minutes later the other girl sits down as well. After asking where my food was, the non blonde girl goes back there and checks the bag and the bag that I had seen 10 minutes ago. And confirms that it’s my food.
