Trial + Error — Restaurant in Louisville

Trial & Error is a fantastic new cocktail spot on Whiskey Row connected to the amazing new Pursuit Spirits location. We went straight here after getting off the plane as a way to kick off our trip. There are core cocktails and seasonal ones. I had the Cherry Styles which was excellent (Shout out to the bartender that hand dipped the chocolate covered cherries!). They even built a studio where they host the podcast Bourbon Pursuit that kicked off their whole adventure with Pursuit Spirits. The atmosphere is relaxed and the drinks are stellar. This has to be a “must stop” if you are in town on any kind of bourbon experience or in town for business. The atmosphere is classic rustic speakeasy, with a modern twist. The bottles lined on the back wall give a sneak peak into the years of specialty releases Ryan and Kenny have done from day 1 of Pursuit Spirits. So many unique flavor profiles to try, but what I felt was really special were the specialty cocktails offered here. This has something for everyone to enjoy. Trial + Error is an absolute must-stop on Whiskey Row. It’s perfect. The location. The vibe. The drinks. Everything. We had such a blast hanging out. We left and realized that it was a much better hang than anywhere else we went, so we went back for round 2. The seasonal Basic Being Basic is stellar.
