Art Eatables — Local services in Louisville

The candy is excellent, but I had a rather condescending and outright rude interaction with one of the staff members. My girlfriend and I were in the back section where you have to be 21+ because of the bourbon/rye infused candy's. One of the staff members out of the two there that day was handing out samples. I asked for one and then suggested my girlfriend try one after tasting mine, which was rather good.

The lady had nothing to say when I asked, but when my girlfriend asked, standing right next to me, she looked back to me and said, "Now is she 21?" Like she wasn't standing right there or incapable of speaking for herself like she was a child. I said, "Yes, she is actually older than I am." The lady then got very condescending and said, "Oh well, your facial hair made you seem older." Older than who? Lol I'm 23 my girlfriend is 24. Had she asked for IDs, I would understand, but not at any point did she. She thought she would guess and make such a mistake in a store with at least 10 other customers present, some of which being family of mine who witnessed this. I didn't catch names, but the lady who we had this interaction with was about 5'2". The taller lady with dyed hair working the cash register was excellent and very kind and carried a very personable conversation about us frequently visiting the bourbon trail.

It takes just once to lose trust, we wont be back.

We saw an advertisement for chocolate so obviously I had to stop in. They offer alcohol infused chocolates and alcohol free options. If you go into the alcohol area they have a bar where you can order a drink. There were also samples available. I purchased a treat that was alcohol free. I bought a milk chocolate covered oreo that had a little monster on it. It was delicious! The staff was great and answered all of our questions about their treats. Delicious chocolates! We went there a few years ago on a trip to Louisville and it was on our list to go back this visit to Louisville and will be on the list for every trip from now on. All you have to do is visit and try one of their free samples and you already know you aren't leaving without buying some of this delicious chocolate. They have chocolate including every major bourbon and even some sampler of them. We mentioned that we had a road trip and hoped the chocolate wouldn't melt and they included a freezer pack in our bag so it wouldn't melt!...
