We went to the Rialto Theater Center last night to see the Face Vocal Band Christmas show and thought we could just walk into one of the local restaurants, we were sadly mistaken because the wait times were very long.
Our daughter suddenly pointed across the street and said "that place looks nice, I bet they have food". Loveland Tap & Tavern...here we come!
Upon walking in we were very impressed by how beautiful the place was, and to make things even better....we were greeted by the nicest person ever, Cayla. She welcomes us in like we were regulars to the tavern.
Cayla took our order and promptly returned with our drinks. I have to say there beer and drink options are very impressive. A little while later Cayla returned with our food and continued to check on us.
I can't say enough nice things about the Loveland Tap & Tavernm the place was spotless, even the bathrooms were super clean and stocked with a lot of nice little touches like "real" towels and high quality hand lotion. I and I have to say it again, Cayla was a pleasure to interact with!
Sadly there is one negative...Loveland Tap & Tavern is located almost 50 miles away, so we probably won't be able to make it a regular stop. But you can bet on seeing us again when we return...
Read moreReally enjoyed this place! My boyfriend and I always prefer to frequent the local businesses, and when we come to Loveland, we prefer the old "downtown" as opposed to all the chains moving in. We frequent the main drag but had never been in to Loveland Tap (the shutdowns, having old favorites, etc). We popped in for a beer and ended up closing the place down, lol. Kind of a unique concept.....large selection of (mostly) local beers, but also a full bar if you're not a beer-slinging type. They have a limited menu but are more than happy to accept you ordering/bringing food in. Great owner-driven place (we met both the husband and wife...super nice people), happy to accommodate their guests, good music...just a great vibe all around. If you want good drinks, good people and a nice local setting, check this place out....
Read moreI really don't know how to rate a place that serves food and says they are open until 9...yet when you walk in at 8:15 pm they let you know that they are no longer serving food for the night. Not sure why they advertise being open until 9 if all of their services are not available until 9...?
After reading the owners response, I understand that on the very bottom of their website it explains that the food truck, that is their kitchen, closes an hour before the bar. That was my fault for looking up the hours on Google and not realizing they had a separate kitchen entirely. I guess I'm just not used to that model. I have changed my review to reflect average food (that I did not taste), good service (she was nice about not having food available), and average atmosphere (I didn't have a chance to really speak...
