We went this past weekend for the "Dach-toberfest" and were thoroughly disappointed. I understand it was their first year but I have a hard time recalling a more poorly ran event. I mean I've seen Greek life events put on better. Event was supposed to be from 11-3 with the races starting at 12. We were a little late and arrived at 12:40 at which point the races were already over. We grabbed a beer in the fenced area and even the server mentioned she hoped to see them race which again had already concluded. You had to finish your beer in the fenced area but there was only two tables in the area with no other events or "live entertainment" which was mentioned. Unless you count the German polka music they had playing over the intercom. After awkwardly finishing our beers we decided to 'try' and grab some food.
They apparently decided to have a skeleton crew on for this event and it took 20 minutes to get a table even though it wasn't crowded whatsoever. We were told to pick any table but all the ones in the shade hadn't been bused so we had to sit in the sun. We asked if we could change tables once they were bused but were told it would confuse the servers?? So after about 10 minutes sitting there we were finally asked if we had been helped so we ordered a couple more beers and some pretzel bites and were told they'd be out shortly. The beers came out in about 15 minutes so we put in a food order to get that rolling. Around this time, 1:30ish, they already started breaking down the event which makes sense since pretty much no one wanted to drink beer in the weird corral out front. As others were seated in the patio we wondered where our pretzels bites might be... a server then brought out pretzels and fries which we thought were ours but ended up being the group that was sat down after us.
We waited for 40 minutes and never received the appetizer which if I had to guess was heated frozen pretzels. We ended up just leaving since I had only drank half my beer and my girlfriend hadn't touched hers since we wanted to get some food in our stomachs. This was our 3rd time here and we were already on the fence aboit this place. I highly recommend going anywhere else...
Read moreI feel that whoever is invited to partner with Rock Bottom in an Open Tap event should be aware. Combat Vets 3-6 was invited to participate in this widely publicized Open Tap event held on 21 SEP 2018. These events are designed as a fundraiser for local non-profit charities by receiving a certain % of proceeds that are generated with sales of the beer that was tapped at the Open Tap night through the following month. In past years checks to charities reportedly have ranged from $1000-$4000. Rock Bottom has supported us by donating food to our Troop Box assembly day in DEC, but has never followed through with issuing a check to the Combat Vets for the agreed upon proceeds that the Open Tap generated. We even held our June meeting there in hopes that supporting them would help in their finally issuing a check to us. We learned at that time, after 9 months, that they didn't have a W-9 from our Chapter. So, our Treasurer issued a W-9 to Rock Bottom that day. Combat Vets chapter feels that our name, our cause, our goodwill and our Association with Veterans was used in publicizing this event to their advantage yet after almost 12 months our Chapter has not yet received a penny from funds that were received at that Open Tap event. RB did, however, donate a few items for which we sold tickets and those proceeds did generate some funds which we used for our Troop Box project. Our Chapter was certainly expecting to receive in the range of $1000 to maybe $2000 as was agreed upon which we, in turn, designate to certain Veterans charities. As a result the Veterans charities that we support were short-changed by Rock Bottom not following through as promised. So, please be aware to any 501(c)(3) non-profits that are interested in this partnering program that Rock Bottom is offering as they now have a history of using your organization's name and emblem, and your community good will to their benefit, and you may or may not receive what is promised. Food & wait staff are good, but this situation has been the deal breaker. Do not let Rock Bottom leverage their relationship with your non-profit organization to...

Have been dining at the Rock Bottom location in Loveland over the years, mostly for lunch.
There used to be a Hickory Bacon Burger that went away from the menu several years back, given that it was my favorite burger I try to recreate it everytime that I go to Rock Bottom by ordering their Classic Burger without cheese and adding hickory bacon and a side of hickory bbq sauce.
This time around I scanned the menu and found that the current version of the Bacon Cheddar had cheddar cheese, bacon, lettuce, tomato, pickles, red onion and BBQ jalapeño ranch. So placed an order for the Bacon Cheddar but without cheese and replacing the BBQ jalapeño ranch with the Hickory BBQ sauce.
The burger came out looking perfect, I have always paired the Hickory BBQ burger with the equivalent of a Hefeweizen beer, so this time around I ended up ordering a short pint of the house Hef, turned out to be the Liquid Sun (Belgian Beer).
As I took a bite of the juicy and perfectly cooked burger, I noticed that the BBQ sauce had a slight kick to it more than what I remember from the standard Hickory BBQ sauce, as I proceeded to take another bite I realized that it was the BBQ jalapeño sauce instead of the Hickory BBQ sauce.
That little kick was addictive and the combination of the perfect burger patty, crispy bacon, fresh lettuce and tomato and red onions plus the BBQ jalapeño sauce raised the burger to whole new level, it paired perfectly with the citrus flavor of the Liquid Sun.
As always the french fries were seasoned and cooked to perfection, ate 3/4 of the fries without using ketchup, that is an indication of the great quality of the fries as well.
What a revelation, found another great fav to carry me for a while, super happy =D. Makes the burger runs from Fort Collins to Loveland that much more worthwhile.
Cheers to the folks responsible for the great food at Rock Bottom as well as the Brewmeister responsible for brewing the beers at the back...
