Everything was nice, the staff was especially nice. There was some definite training going on, but that is great too. I like seeing people getting back to work. The first room we were assigned was under repair when we got there, but they moved us with no hassle. My only "complaint" was I really needed a soak in the hot tub after driving that truck across Wyoming, and the hot tub was out of commission. It seems like every hotel I stay in these days either the hot tub, pool, or both are down.
I fully understand that these things happen, and no one did that "to me". So it was more a disappointment than a complaint, per se. But it is the reason for the 8/10. The room mix up wouldn't have even registered.
On the positive, I had several opportunities to speak with the housekeeping staff. What a sweet bunch of ladies. They deserve to know that. They were cheerful and friendly to everyone I saw them interact with. again, the front desk staff was great too, but you expect that more from someone in a directly customer related position.
The lack of food at the hotel was unfortunate. I suppose it is because of COVID, but their was no breakfast. They opened the bar for a big group that was there, but when I went to purchase a drink they said they couldn't open it because the person licensed to had gone home for the night. That is reasonable, but was disappointing. So I ran to Walmart (yeah). Ironically, I don't even drink alcohol. I just didn't want soda, so I like to get something like a Virgin Mary.
One more thing, everyone there recommended the Urban Egg for breakfast. It was OK, and definitely not a bad option. But if you're in town for only one breakfast, go to Doug's. It's a bit further, but you will thank me for it. Great food, fun atmosphere, and very busy for a reason. We had about a 40 minute wait at both of them, but across the street from Doug's is the Loveland Art Museum, which 80% of is free. Not the most impressive museum, but a much better way to kill 40 minutes than in a...
Staff was very prompt and accommodating. Hotel was peaceful and clean and reasonably priced, though we were willing to pay more for what we wanted/needed. We were there as I was having Total Knee Replacement Surgery which required us to arrive early and I'd have an overnight stay. Husband wanted to be near-by and though not 'the closest' to Surgical center, The Courtyard was by far the nicest hotel and staff greeted us like they were genuinely happy to see us. We stopped in following my pre-op appt to make reservations. We wanted to see the places and compare. The gentleman who greeted was helpful and answered all of our questions. The hotel was peaceful and very clean. We made the reservations then, about two weeks ahead of our trip in August for the first of two total knee replacements. The stay was as expected and needed. No surprises or issues. Nothing to worry about but the business at hand. We didn't think twice about making reservations for our trip down for second knee replacement in November. Everything was as expected which made the trip much more enjoyable and relaxing so our focus could be where it was needed.
I'm rating the dining as excellent also, though at the time of our stay, they were not serving breakfast options on Sunday or Monday mornings and those were the days we were there. Covid has caused alot of juggling in scheduling and we understand the challenges with that. We have no doubt that when they are able to be fully staffed again, they will have each day covered with something warm and quick for the guests to eat in the mornings. I will say, they offered Starbucks coffee 24/7 in their lobby area, as well as coffee in the room, so the most important need was covered....
Read moreThe hotel staff exceeded our expectations with their attentive service and genuine hospitality. Our spacious room featured immaculate housekeeping and a plush king-size bed that provided exceptional comfort. The shower's design presented several significant problems. The main shower head produced only a weak stream of water, while the handheld unit was completely non-functional. The doorless design, though presumably modern, resulted in two major issues: water consistently flooded the bathroom floor, and the open layout created an uncomfortable draft that made the showering experience unpleasant unless standing directly beneath the minimal water flow. The bistro offered a limited but high-quality breakfast selection. However, the $4 charge for basic coffee seemed excessive, particularly considering the only complimentary alternative was the standard in-room pre-packaged coffee packets. For a basic amenity that most hotels provide freely, this additional cost felt like an unnecessary burden on guests seeking their morning coffee. The most concerning aspect of our stay was the unexpected $12 daily parking fee. This charge, which was not disclosed during check-in, appeared on our final bill despite our limited time at the property. The lack of transparency regarding these additional costs was particularly disappointing, as it significantly impacted the overall value of our stay. On our final day, the hot tub temperature registered at just 75 degrees, well below the standard 100-104 degrees typically maintained for guest comfort and safety. Needless to say I was very disappointed in not being able to enjoy a hot soak first thing in...
