After this latest visit we will likely not be back. Over the last few years the quality of food and service has gone down hill. The nicest part of the experience was being seated by a polite gentleman. After that we sat without being acknowledged for at least 10 minutes. The place wasn’t even slammed, there were several empty tables and several servers just standing there. When they finally realized they forgot to serve us, we ordered our beers. After waiting for awhile she returned to tell me they were out of that beer and offered an alternative. Then another long waiting period began to wait for that drink. It was probably 20-25 minutes from sitting to actually getting a drink. We ordered wings which were good but our server didn’t bring any plates with them, until 10 minutes later. We shared the weekend special 3 course entree which was Prime Rib, mashed potatoes, clam chowder, and Caesar salad. The Prime Rib came out medium but ordered medium rare. It was room temperature, not hot. The salad was on its last day before being discarded, not fresh. The soup was good, but was most likely canned not homemade. When it was time to order another drink, our server brought a bottle of beer and placed it on the table and walked away. She didn’t offer a glass, which I find rude. I poured it myself in a glass from my other first beer. The whole process was very drawn out and disappointing. Our overall mood was taking a dive as the meal progressed. When the manager came over to ask how everything was we explained exactly how it was going. If service or food is poor we usually just deal with it, but this just seemed too poor to not let someone know. He listened to our concerns and seemed quite sincere and apologetic. He even took our dirty dishes that our server left there. It took forever for the dessert to come out, which we weren’t really interested in by that point. When our bill came the entree was refunded, but the kicker was they charged for the dessert. The dessert is supposed to be included in the 3 course meal. So instead of just refunding the meal they tried to slip in a charge for dessert. It was the perfect ending to the bad experience...
Read moreOne of the worst dining experiences I've had. The only reason we ate anything at all was because we were so hungry. My daughter and I spent the day Christmas shopping and decided to finish with dinner and a cocktail. We hadn't eaten all day so we were looking forward to a nice hot meal, a good cocktail and a minute to relax. We ordered the avacodo egg roll appetizer, soup and salad special with a free piezookie and a couple of drinks. The appetizer was nothing more than waaaayyyy too much cold, old guacamole spread on old egg rolls and both our soups came out tepid, at best. My chicken tortilla soup was so underheated it was gelatinous. The broccoli cheese soup was nothing more than warmed velveeta with sparse, old broccoli swimming about. The wedge salad was wilting in parts and in other places turning brown. Our 1st cocktail was their pomegranate margarita and was tasty enough, but without the garnishes pictured, not rimmed with salt or sugar, (as pictured) and the one piece of lime garnish that was included, had some foreign food matter stuck to it. For dessert we ordered their snowman cocktail with Bailys Irish cream. That was actually very nice. We couldn't finish our piezookie, which was for the best as they are just a warmed cookie with ice cream on top served in a small pie tin. No whipped cream or any toppings. Pretty lame. Our server was pleasant enough, not overly friendly, but adequate in personality but sloooowwwww! Like, did she leave the building? Slow. I guess we should have known considering we had to use our napkins to clean the dirty silverware we were given when 1st seated. Honestly, if we weren't so darn hungry, I would have walked out the minute we saw stains on our forks. Horrible, horrible, horrible. A waste of $93 to eat cheap slop in a very cold, drafty building and then get sick from the meal on the way home. I'll...
Read moreOne of the worst meals I’ve ever had. My wife first asked for the ribs, one of their main offerings— sorry, out of ribs. She went back to the menu and found another one of their primary dishes, and ordered the pork chop— sorry, out of that too. She finally settled on some garbage burger Applebee’s could have made better. The food took nearly an hour to show up. Once it did, my “medium rare” steak wasn’t even rare, it was bleu. The photo to the left is how it came originally, on the right is when it had been brought back and cooked to a (rare leaning) medium rare. We had a movie to go to, so I asked to have the check and boxes as soon as the meal came, since it had already been an hour. It took twenty more minutes for us to get the dessert that had been included in the price of my meal, and that was just ice cream. We were standing up and getting ready to walk out without it, right when it finally got brought over. The prime rib was mediocre at best even once it had been cooked. The sauce on the Brussels sprouts was a cool idea which I will steal for my own cooking, but the sprouts themselves rather than “lightly fried” were deep, deep fried and kosher salt was sprinkling out of them like so much dandruff, way excessive. $75 plus tip for one drink and a meal for two, and one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. Last time we were here, the cheesesteak was bland and awful, this time, the whole experience was that much worse. This is just a badly run establishment, staffed by people who don’t know how to serve, and cooks who have no idea to cook. I am astounded that this place remains in business, except for some reason there is a major lack of restaurants in the area, and perhaps the usual diners drink enough beer to forget the time of day and lose the ability to taste their food before it gets served. Hell of a...
