Bubba's Steaks and Shakes Bryn Mawr — Restaurant in Lower Merion Township

This is one of the best steak sandwiches I've had in the area, maybe the best. I've lived in the Philly area for 40 of my 61 years and I've lived in Blue Bell (Pudge's), I've worked in Roxborough (Dalessandro's), and I've lived on South and Lombard (Jim's), not to mention Pat's and Genos. I recently moved to Bryn Mawr and was looking for a good cheese steak. The other night, My daughter and I decided to take a snowy walk to Bubba's and try it out. They were obviously busy but everyone behind the counter was friendly and attentive and courteous. We each had one using Cooper American and fried onions. I got the crinkle fries, she got the waffle fries and a chocolate milk shake and took it home. We could hardly contain ourselves from the smell coming from the bag. Me & my co/ worke was in the area looking for place to quickly grab lunch we decided to stop in to Bubba’s. I ordered the Portabella mushroom steak the cook didn't get my order right was kind of disappointed that there was only mushrooms and the cheese on my steak hoagie it was supposed to have fried onions, red peppers, shredded lettuce on it. Geo was very nice friendly shared knowledge of the products, and ingredients that are used in the shakes also, the equipment that makes the shakes. This is a mid cheesesteak restaurant trying to pass itself off as a top-tier cheesesteak restaurant. It’s not that it was necessarily terrible, but for the prices they’re charging here. It needs to be much better. First of all, I got a cheesesteak with whiz and they didn’t even heat up the whiz. It was cold cheese whiz. This is an incredibly easy thing to get right so there’s no excuse for getting it wrong. Beyond that, none of the ingredients seem to be particularly high-quality. The meat wasn’t bad, but not great.
