I recently moved back to the area and sinceI like to support local businesses I was looking forward to trying this bagel shop. Absolutely horrible experience!! I arrived a couple minutes before 7am and there were five employees inside and they all ignored me as I shivered in the cold. Finally a girl unlocks front door (didn't open door or acknowledge me just turned around). I got a really bad vibe but decided to press on. The girl at the casino register also ignored me - no greeting whatsoever. They have limited selection of bagels - no whole grain options. I proceeded to order the cinnamon raisin bagel and a medium coffee (I was informed they don't carry small). By bill was over $7.00. When I got my receipt I see an extra charge for butter. Are you kidding me - extra charge for butter! Never was charged for butter on a bagel in my life. Additionally they charge extra for cinnamon raisin bagel. Once again never experienced a bagel/coffee shop charging extra for cinnamon raisin bagel! As far as quality goes, the coffee tasted like it was leftover from the day before and the bagel was chewy. In addition, the butter they charged me for was rock hard - completely unable to spread it on my bagel. The 5 employees in the shop were the most miserable people I've ever encountered in a retail environment. In summation, if you want to be treated terribly and enjoy being overcharged for barely edible food then this is the...
Read moreNew place, employees are still getting a hang of the operation but were very friendly and pleasant. The bagels were great and the cream cheese and spreads were delicious. The white fish salad was awesome too. Bagel flavors were terrific and toppings stayed on through cutting and toasting. I'll be back.
We took a break from this bagel shop as several visits were disappointing. The only constant was the quality of the bagels, always outstanding. The egg sandwiches were on and off. After a pretty long break, we tried again, this time ordering on line to avoid the wait. My order was ready when I arrived and was accurate. The bagels , as usual, were fantastic. The egg sandwich was ok. The bagels are large and the standard one egg was basically lost on the sandwich. Two eggs would have been so much better and an additional egg is an option but then you are looking at a $12 plus egg sandwich. The staffing issues that we experienced before seem to have been fixed and the young lady that I dealt with was friendly and efficient. In the future, I think we will continue to pick up the amazing bagels and forgo the sandwiches. I'm sure that the sandwich would have been fine for a lot of people, but, for close to $10 for a sandwich alone, I was underwealmed. Overall, this is a great bagel shop for bagels...
Read moreI updated my review after trying bravo again out of convenience (I got my decaf at dunkin first). The everything bagel was nice and I just ordered extra olive and pimento cc on the side. It's yummy. Also, the pizza supreme bagel looked amazing. I still wish more people in this area drank decaf (looking at you shannondell) and ate whole grain bagels, but touche. Also appreciate the kind, non defensive reply from the owner. It's hard to leave an honest review with the way my name is under attack these days. Thanks, Josh. I'll come back.
I hesitate to leave a poor review, since I am usually very tolerant of small businesses and I want them to succeed.
I've been to Bravo numerous times and the service has always been very slow, even with a lot of people working. They don't sell decaf coffee or have any type of whole grain/whole wheat bagel, which seem pretty standard everywhere else I get bagels. I also like a bagel with extra cream cheese but when I ordered that this morning the bagel had very little of it inside.
I'm going to continue driving a bit farther away for The Everything Bagel Cafe in North Wales. They stuff my bagel full and I don't have to pop to Wawa for a coffee.
Maybe if things change I'll try Bravo again. I wish them the best despite my...
