I was actually going to give 1 star but just for the service, cleanliness and concept I gave an extra star.
I travel around places for new food and last week I was at House of Kebabs and Biryanis (5/5) and I searched google for new suggestions and was recommended to this restaurant.
From outside it looks really appealing - Great work on signage, it’s a small restaurant with 5 tables. Bright, catchy and appealing interior decor - I liked the concept of self ordering in touch screen desktop, very interactive software easy to use.
Once order was place the food was presented on the table in less than 10 mins (1st red flag), I had 5 items on my bill which came in less than 10 mins.
The tag line says “Indian Street Food” - I don’t know which street food the chef has visited in India and have tasted but surely not in Bombay and any other Indian streets. I have travelled in India and I have not had tasted any food so Bland, Sour & uncooked.
Sure, if you want Indo-American taste you MAY (highly doubt it) but you MAY like it but being born and brought up in India and travel around the world and tasted Indian cuisine everywhere this was one of the worst experience (I am sorry - a bit rude) but I absolutely disliked everything about the food - Curries were watery, Chicken Hakka Noodles were Sour, Naans were Uncooked, Kathi roll - the roti was flaky and falling off,Ras Malai straight out of a can - the only 2 things were Masala Fries (somewhat what Indian food is known for - spices again not spicy but spices : DIFFERENCE) and Gulab Jamun (Tasted like canned but given the fact it was served hot).
And the I am sorry but the only reason I will give 2 star is for the friendly staff and service, Concept, decor and welcoming nature other than that it was going to come down to 1 or big fat zero.

Hello Bombay Dhaba Admin who wrote the below comment,
Truth Hurts it's ok to be hurt, not everyone can take criticism and not everyone will sing you praises.
it's on you how you take both -- If you let the Praises go to your head you will never succeed and if you take a criticism and think on it instead of being defensive about it you can succeed.
I did say I like the concept, the friendly nature and decor -- maybe my food taste is not as normal AMERICAN INDIAN taste, maybe I like more authentic Indian food and maybe I had better expectation.
When I saw your review on my visit you were 5 star - your current rating says it all. It should give you an idea of what you are doing wrong.
Grow up brother - it's easy to spread bad word, but hard to gain that positive word. You are in a competitive market where there are so many restaurant like yours and once word spreads about bad food and bad attitude it's not late before the rating drops more and so will customer.
All I want to say is take the criticism with pride and work towards it, instead of getting...

Heard good things about this place from a friend's friend who used to live in India for a year so thought it was worth checking out. I placed an order for takeout through their website and was able to pick up the food at my time of choosing. I drove 30 minutes for this place. The menu had a good mix of Indian and Indo-Chinese food. I've never had Indo-Chinese food before so this was a pretty good first introduction. Their food was very flavorful, as expected of Indian food and the spices they put in, however, some were very oil. Their drinks were not that good. Overall, for the amount of food I received, amount I paid for, and the quality of the food, it wasn't bad at all.
FOOD: Achari Chicken Kati Rolls - GET THIS. The Kati roll is the most popular dish on their menu and I can see why. The wrap is similar to a crepe, maybe a bit thicker, and has a nice bite to it. The two sauce that it came one (one spicy mayo like sauce and one yogurt like sauce) made the roll with a bit of a kick and tang. The chicken was seasoned pretty well and not dry at all. I wish I asked for more of the toppings that came along with it.
Samosa Chaat - basically chopped up samosa dressed in sauce. The samosa was flavorful, parts of it still crispy. A bit on the heavy side since it's all carbs.
Gobi Manchurian - basically stir-fried cauliflower covered in this spiced red sauced. The cauliflower was well done, soft. I've never had this before so I can't compare it to anything but flavor wise, it was good
-Chicken Korma - very flavorful, spiced well, however, very oil. There was a layer of oil sitting on top of the sauce. I've had better korma elsewhere that is less oily.
DRINKS: Chai - barely any flavor, would not get again
-Mango Lassi - a bit too thick and creamy to my liking. Taste pretty good though, not too sweet
VERDICT Overall, the food is pretty good. I would go again if I was in the area but I would not go 30 minutes out of my...
Read moreWe wanted to place a catering order. We called on Wednesday and were asked to call back on Friday. Then, we called on Friday afternoon and were asked to call back at 4:30 PM. After speaking briefly, we were asked to come and discuss the catering order. We reached at 6:30 PM, discussed our catering needs with the person at the cash counter, and decided to taste the food. Please note that we had spent nearly 30 minutes by now discussing our needs.
Then, the Kati rolls we tasted were good; the chicken was a bit dry but it was still okay. However, there was a HAIR in the samosa. Pretty disgusting. In any case, we liked other things so thought we will let this slide (big mistake).
Then, we decided to place our catering order. Spent another 20 or so minutes with the person at the register. We had some questions about the quantity because apparently they have multiple websites and different information on these sites. The chef/owner rudely said that he doesn’t have the time to answer any of our questions. Now, this was very upsetting because it wasn’t that we just showed up. We called twice, were in the restaurant for more than an hour, and then this guy just jumps in and says he is too busy. As if we have all the time in the world. A total waste of my time.
As an aside, at least two angry customers within a span of one hour. One was angry because there wasn’t any tap water in the restaurant. The chef/owner just said the machine is out for more than a year and there is no water. So, the customers dining in have to buy their bottled water only.
Another customer sitting right behind us asked for some ice but there is no ice either.
All in all, our experience and interaction suggest that this establishment does not need the business, will probably serve samosas (frozen and microwaved) with hair in them, and have no regard for their customers’ time and basic requirements like...
