Updated 7/27/24 my family has been back to this restaurant a few times since my last review and my opinion has declined, especially in regard to food quality. I love salads, but will not eat brown or browning lettuce! Even lettuce with the edges browning turn me off. I am happy to pick through and remove the occasional brown edge but when there are clumps of slimy sections of lettuce I tap. Every single time lately and every persons salad on our table has had this mushy goop! It will be a while before we come back. In addition, sadly the kitchen does not know how to cook steaks….rare to medium ordered steaks in my opinion should have zero brown centers!!!! Soooo disappointing a steakhouse can’t cook steaks. Lastly, the last two servers were “moody” or less than happy to be at work. Nobody has a good day everyday all the time but at least fake it or at the very least do your job efficiently. Long drink wait times-even for water/soda orders. I could continue but if you go here after reading this nothing else I could say would change that.
Leaving old post below. Good times are gone I guess
LongHorn is honestly one of our to-go’s and places we look forward to. I will say, the last year or two they have been very hit or miss as an over all experience. One thing that has us coming back is the employees and quick kitchens! They definitely have a good system of people they hire and somehow manage to keep a lot of these happy and professional servers. This meal was far below par and very unusual- generally always a 5 on taste, order being correct or complete the first time! Today our steaks were overcooked and not having the time to deal with it we just ate and didn’t complain. This may have caused our atmosphere rating to drop. They are generally very clean (some bathrooms not perfect) but generally you can see your food, and hear the people at your table!!! Love this!!! The reason for my post today, their knives are falling apart and chips have been seen in several of their dishes! I’ve mentioned this before at several locations but this is definitely a chain issue. They all have at least one damaged product on the table, in my experience. The first two pics show the knife that should have been retired. The third pic is what it should look like and the 4th is just because I had the photo of one of the plates at our table. Hopefully someone from corporate sees this and corrects this issue sooner than later. I’m running out of places we enjoy using. As for the cracked, chipped dishes- it’s generally the dressing cups. Only a couple of plates have made to personally to my table over the years. Love the bread, especially when it comes...
Read moreFirst of all, just wow. Me and my fiancée went in for dinner tonight, because we were craving some steak and potatoes after a long day. We expected a meal similar to what we would get at most chain steakhouses, but we got way more than we bargained for. The front of house was friendly and professional and got us in a great mood. But the star of the show was our server, Regina. Regina gave us what is probably the best service I've ever had in a restaurant. Her positive attitude and friendly banter really set the stage for an amazing evening. She recommended the stuffed mushrooms as an appetizer, which turned out to be the best mushrooms I've ever had. She seemed to have a sixth sense, as she showed up at the table at the perfect times, and always with a smile that heightened our experiences. Our main courses were delicious, and while one of steaks was a little under than our preferences, the service Regina provided made it so we didn't even care. Towards the end our meal, the general manager visited our table and had a great conversation with us and made sure we were having a pleasant experience. Again, this restaurant is way more than just another chain location, and we will definitely be returning, hopefully to be served again by Regina. Can't recommend it...
Read morePositives first, the staff and managers are the nicest people and had a lot of patience with our order. We had two kids and four adults. I tipped them appropriately. I enjoyed the country music immensely and was able to talk with everyone at our table without shouting even though they had a full house.
The food also came out fast. But this is the worst steak I've ever had in a long time. The only time I've had worse steak would be at a 24 hour diner but steak there cost $10 back in 2015 and ain't nobody ordering anything less than well done. I might be expecting too much from a chain steakhouse, but I've cooked better steak for two and it would've taken the same amount of time to plan for taking into account the commute.
I ordered the regular sirloin at medium rare and my partner ordered a NY strip. I'm not sure if it's the seasoning or the quality, so it might not even be the chef's fault. The only flavor I could taste was the salt. It was barely beefy. Maybe the special sirloin was better but I'm skeptical.
The NY strip somehow had more beef flavor than the sirloin but not by much. It was also cooked to medium rare. Still on the bad...
