Chips Sports Bar — Restaurant in Lubbock

Horrible waitstaff..

Went into Chips with family from out of town. We walked in about sat at a table. It was pretty busy in there, sat at the table for 30 minutes an finally went to the bar. Stood at the bar for 25 minutes. After getting the guys attention we ordered 4 beers, gave him a debit card. Went back to the table, drank the 1 beer a piece an the waitstaff passed by multiple times never asked us if we were OK or if we needed anything. Made contact with the older blonde lady carrying drinks to everybody but over a period of 2 hrs no service no hi, very disrespectful an we finally were ready to leave the hole. It took waiting at the bar for 25 more minutes to get my debit card back. Then I was told "do you have cash our machine is down" WOW..

I didnt have cash, had to borrow cash from a buddy to payout an get my card..

Never again will I EVER deal with this immature people ever again!!!

I will spread the news!!

The ladies need to wait on customers instead of standing at the bar smoking!!

Horrible...

We really enjoy this bar and have had great times here when the bar is not busy. However, this evening, one of the girls in our party was sexually harassed by a man, grabbing her on the butt very publicly and making sexual comments toward her. This man had made advancements towards myself and the other girl with us all evening. While this can be expected of a bar environment, the waitress defended the man saying that he was “family” and that our group should leave. This establishment has always been credible, but I was very disappointed with the waitress and her behavior. No woman, or anyone for that matter, appreciates being grabbed or harassed without permission, regardless of the clout of the person doing the harassing. I understand keeping the conflict to a minimum, but I don’t understand allowing your customers to be harassed for any reason. When we asked to speak to a manager, the waitress could ironically not seem to locate one. Very disappointed in a bar that we...

First off, the food here is great. An appetizer like the fried mushrooms or fried pickles start the night of off great. I haven't tried the burgers yet but the chicken or steak quesadillas with jalapeños is a no-complaint option. Good flavor but not spicy.

Pool here is also a great way to go about the night. There are cheap tables, always table chalk available and if you have to use a house stock, they're fairly reliable and straight.

The staff is knowledgeable, good at developing rapport and the service is exceptionally quick, especially in the kitchen. The place is also kept quite tidy and empties and trash is discarded by staff very sneakily.

I don't drink anymore so I can't comment on the bar side of things but I'd assume it works close to the rest of the establishment.. Like a well oiled machine. Ooh, and there's also TouchTunes and that's always liberating. All in all a great place to go for a quick bite, some games or just a chat session...
